Riverside High School Reviews
Rating 3.36 out of 5 173 reviews
Overall, Riverside sucks as a school. There are days when more than half of my teachers do not show up! I feel like I am completely unprepared for college academics as my act/sat test scores show.
I would like to see the climate and culture improve. Students seem to be going through the motion and you never see administrators in the school.
Riverside is a high school with a solid mix of good and bad. With supportive teachers, excellent academic opportunities, and an overall acceptable atmosphere, the school fares well compared to others in the Kanawha Valley. However, in my brief three year experience as a transfer student I encountered some issues. There is rarely any help from counselors, a disturbing lack of morality on the part of some staff members, and leadership issues among the sports coaches. The good outweighs the bad; with your moldy food you, on the other hand, receive close-knit connections with the staff and other students.
