The 2024 NFL Draft is less than a week away and that means teams are making their final preparations.

One of the more intriguing teams heading into the draft is the Washington Commanders. They have a new front office in place along with a new owner in Josh Harris and according to ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio, he's "more involved than expected" on draft plans and everything else.

Per Florio, Harris was with the team while the front office met with quarterbacks during the NFL Scouting Combine. He was also in those meetings getting to know the draft-eligible quarterbacks.

Like any owner, he wants to be in the loop to see how the front office feels about the quarterbacks and other players in the draft.

It's widely expected that the Commanders will take a quarterback with the second overall pick because they don't have a franchise one on the roster right now.

Because Caleb Williams will likely go first overall to the Chicago Bears, the Commanders will likely choose from Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels when they're on the clock.

The 2024 NFL Draft will begin next Thursday (Apr. 25) at 8 p.m. ET and be televised by ESPN/ABC and NFL Network.
