In 2007, the Disney Channel cleverly debuted a TV show that mimicked, in broad general terms, the basic staples of the "Harry Potter" movie franchise. In their story, as with the movie, there is a trio of wizards-in-training at the center of the narrative. The only difference is that in this case, they are more than just friends, they are siblings. Producer Gigi McCreery has been with the show since the beginning, helping make Selena Gomez a breakout star and winding her way to an Emmy Award in '09 for Outstanding Children's Program. McCreery started out her producing career with a bang, working on the 1999-2000 season of NBC mega-hit "Friends" after initially coming to the show as a writer and graduating to executive story editor. From there, it was on to several other less noteworthy sitcoms before finally hitting her stride with the very popular "Waverly Place" show. McCreery has also written more than a dozen episodes of her signature success.
