Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Sue WWoodbridge, UK103 contributionsFrom the minute you enter this attraction you are given the impression that it is a very well managed farm. Very clean tidy with very helpful and friendly staff. Great opportunity for children to feed and mix with animals. Good hygiene and wonderful mix of animals, ducks chickens , goats, sheep and wonderful to see so many lovely owls. A great day out.Written 19 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Absolutely fantastic, fabulous and that's just the staff. The staff made you feel like they were just there for you. Thank you for making the weekend special.
Selection of foods was delicious,
A brilliant castle very large with a great range of rooms to visit, but the grounds and the views to the castle are the highlight and amazing.
Rooms were perfect and a good selection of soaps and coffee/tea. The interior of the room was like a Museum and I spent time exploring.
Thank you everyone for making the weekend very special.Written 26 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If it’s a nice day you can enjoy a picnic or simply buy something from the onsite tea room. We enjoyed a stroll around the lake and just relaxing in the peace and quietWritten 8 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jayne K13 contributionsLovely picturesque and quaint National Trust moated medieval house and orchards. Small café, reasonable parking, 2nd hand book shop. A number of self guided walks ( various lengths and degrees of difficulty). Play trail for children including a trow ( boat). Don't miss new apple orchard feature. Interesting house and gatehouse, intimate rooms and friendly guides. Loved the kitchen. Would recommend a visit.Written 14 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- FlackadderCirencester, UK350 contributionsAlthough there is not a great deal to see here, it does' tend to show how people lived quite well. The entry charge represents well the small size of this museum.Written 3 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John Y1 contributionWe have been going back to Lucksall for short breaks for several years now and we have never been disappointed, our most recent trip is no exception! The Williams family, supported by their wonderful team ensure that the site is maintained to a high standard at all times and the beautiful location just makes it 5 stars + all round.
On this occasion our car broke down as we arrived at reception and Gary and his team helped support us in ensuring the caravan was towed to a suitable pitch and that our car was manually pushed to a place where it could safely be connected to electrics and even provided a battery recharger. We were so impressed how helpful, kind and understanding everyone was, which made a very stressful event less so. Instead of staying for 4 nights we extended our stay for an extra 3 nights taking advantage of the wonderful weather that week and a chance to relax and enjoy our surroundings. We can also confirm that the bar/restaurant/ washroom facilities are all serviced by a great site team and maintained to the same high standard as the grounds.
The ducklings which emerged on the Sunday as we left were and added bonus, so adorable!
We would definitely recommend Lucksall to anyone and will obviously return again this year.
Many Thanks

We had a fabulous lunch and the houseguide, Susan, was excellent. It was really helpful to find a gardener willing to answer questions.
It would have been nice to find postcodes to purchase, and maybe a guidebook.

- Sent FBrecon, UK13 contributionsA pocket battleship of a garden. Compact and interesting, with three folly buildings, including a water powered cuckoo clock. The wild meadow and the ponds are peaceful and calming. The cafe does struggle with queues, but the food is of good quality, especially the lovely and generously sliced fresh cakes. Quite accessible grounds - all on the flat. All in all a tribute to the dedication and vision of the owners and staff.

Many different gardens all within a relatively small space each covering a different theme. Food at the café was also really good. I'm planning my return visit this Christmas.Written 13 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Peter B1 contributionWe (my wife and I) had our first paddle boarding experience with Karen on the river Wye a few years ago. it was so good we went on to bye our own boards and have used them intermittently since. We never became completely confident on them but decided we would join PBA on a trip to Slovenia half expecting it would be too challenging in which case we would go hiking instead.
It was the most amazing experience and way beyond what we were expecting both of ourselves and the team. Karen had collaborated with a brilliant paddle boarding instructor in Slovenia who coaxed gently us down white water rivers that we never imagined to be able deal with and taught us more than we ever expected to be able to manage.
Off the water the trip was managed impeccably by Karen and her partner. The accommodation, food, yoga, hikes, bike rides and company was second to none!
I thoroughly recommend PBA, and especially the Slovenia trip, for anyone even I if you don't think you're experienced enough. The team will ensure you have a fantastic time within your capability and you will learn loads whilst having a wonderful holiday.Review of: Paddleboarding AdventuresWritten 17 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Service was outstanding, the ladies behind the counter were ever so pleasant and very keen for us to try all the different types of cheese available. We tasted a great variety of wonderful cheeses and bought quite a few. I would definitely recommend a visit to this lovely place!Written 24 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
