MP curriculum - Scope and Sequence

    Good Afternoon!

I'm considering using MP core curriculum this year, however; I have not been able to find a scope and sequence of their materials. This usually gives me a more organized idea of the order and content of the subjects offered for a K-12 education. I want to make sure I'm covering everything needed for each grade or I would at least like to know what additional materials are needed to complete their education (academically). Thank you!

A wonderful place to explore this is the model school behind the MP curriculum, Highlands Latin School. Find them online at www.thelatinschool.org
Their results (if you can call a child a "result" ) are astounding. They surpass, at a high school level, what many of us received in our college education. Hopefully this will give you exactly what you are looking for! Scroll through all the Academics tabs and see what it looks like grade to grade. Enjoy!

pickandgrin thank you for your reply! The description of their academics is truly great. I hope they are planning on creating a more formal scope and sequence like the ones we usually see in other curriculum providers, it just provides the "big picture" in an easy to read format ;0)

      Thanks!

        MG_,
There is indeed such a thing. If you'll email [email protected] perhaps they can send you the one that we used last week at the Sodalitas Gathering. It lists the works, not the objectives, that attend each year of school. Hope this helps!

Here you go! I'm attaching the moderated scope & sequence. It will be a little different from the HLS scope & sequence.

              Thank you, Tanya!
One other helpful tidbit is how the scope and sequence is accomplished. One thing that only MP has is a model school daily using the same curriculum that we buy from them. No other program is so thoroughly organized and tweaked to be at peak performance. The curriculum guides (also called Lesson Plans) are the silver bullet. It's not merely amazing content. It's amazingly organized in a way that can help any of us walk through the content well and with confidence. Intangibles like these are what sets MP apart. Oh, and unbelievable customer service.
