How long does it take to read 1 book? The first time I tried this was infuriating to see the timer on the book creep like a snail

You can buy it off of the book vendor (in the inn) at Haerndean.

Unless you've done a lot of melee, you'll need two to reach STR 2 (for warhammer/mace).
