A relatively good Gerry & the Pacemakers compilation, despite a couple of facts: 1) One of the very best Gerry tracks, "Without You", is missing, like all from the '66 US album Girl on a Swing except the title track and the Simon & Garfunkel cover "Big Bright Green Pleasure Machine." Where on earth can one find all that stuff on CD now? 2) All the tracks are in mono, even though stereo mixes could have been available for many tracks. I still don't understand why so many, apart from the one-ear-deaf, prefer mono to stereo. I must be... well, deaf?
However, an album that contains "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying", "Girl on a Swing", "I'm the One", "Hello Little Girl", "It's Just Because", "Show Me That You Care", "It's Gonna Be All Right", "How Do You Do It", "I Like It", "Walk Hand in Hand", "La La La" and "Big Bright Green etc" cannot be any bad or mediocre. I guess I am the only one in the world who is not so much into "You'll Never Walk Alone", but well, it is here too.
However, an album that contains "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying", "Girl on a Swing", "I'm the One", "Hello Little Girl", "It's Just Because", "Show Me That You Care", "It's Gonna Be All Right", "How Do You Do It", "I Like It", "Walk Hand in Hand", "La La La" and "Big Bright Green etc" cannot be any bad or mediocre.
