OTSEGO COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Gaylord High School is getting money to help update the school and its programs.
The high school received two educational grants from the Meemic Foundation.
One grant was for $1,500 and will go towards replacing the 30-year-old auditorium lights.
The second grant was for $500 for the fishing club, which introduces students of all types of fishing.
"I just love the fact that I get to be a part of something that helps give back to the community. It makes Gaylord a better place; it makes the school a better place," said Neil Drzewiecki, with the Meemic Foundation.
Drzewiecki said the Meemic Foundation is partnered with the Otsego Community Foundation through its community grant program.
