- KatLos Angeles, CA47 contributionsI don't usually do tours but this small group itinerary looked like such a great experience, I tried it! We had an amazing time - our guide Eoghan made sure to take us to so many beautiful and interesting spots that aren't on any of the main guides or lists. We got to many historical sites, beautiful countryside, villages and places that we wouldn't have found or known about on our own. This tour did not feel like a 'hit all the tourist spots' tour, most places we went were not crowded and we felt like we really got to see a lot of ireland that we wouldn't have even known existed without him! Our group was 14 people, and our bus was very comfortable with USB charging ports for our phones. Our guide made sure we stopped every couple hours for bathroom breaks, so no one was struggling regardless of age. The pace felt very doable, we were up and out the door by 9:30 most days and arrived at our evening hotel between 5-6. We felt like we saw a TON of things every day but were never rushed. - Patricia M3 contributionsWe just completed the six day tour, but we did it as a private tour. Overland Ireland was fabulous to work with. They communicated quickly and with the details and specifics we needed to first plan the trip and then be equipped with the specifics needed as travel began. They were very flexible when we suggested modifications and incredibly knowledgeable about where to visit and stay and view, beyond typical tourist spots. Mike, our guide was tremendous. First, he absolutely knows so much about his country- history, language, culture and a million stories. He added special side trips like a sheep farm that just made the whole trip even more special. He was prompt, prepared and very helpful and the car was comfortable. We laughed and learned for six full days. We loved that he took care of everything and provided us some history of Ireland and the places we were visiting. He was a safe driver and we were comfortable in the van. We got to know the people on our small tour and enjoyed everyone. Ireland was a warm and easy country to be in.
