OSCOLA Citation Generator

To cite in OSCOLA style, it Is helpful to know basic information about your source, including author’s name(s), the title of the source and/or article, date published, and page numbers (if applicable).
This guide will give you in-text citations and full citations in footnotes in OSCOLA for the following source types:
Website
Book
Journal article
Newspaper or magazine article
PDF
YouTube video
Online image

OSCOLA citation style has two parts:
In-text citation notes.
Bibliography list.
In-text citation notes
When you cite information from a source in your work, place a superscript note number at the end of the sentence. Punctuation affects where the superscript note goes:
Examples:
Colons(:) – After the punctuation – Example sentence:1
Commas(,) – After the punctuation – Example sentence,1
Periods(.) – Before the punctuation – Example sentence 1
Semicolons(;) – Before the punctuation – Example sentence1;
You can also cite more than one source at a time:

The note number corresponds to the source’s number in the endnote list.
Notes and bibliography list
Place the list at the end of your paper and title it “Notes.” References are listed in the order the sources are mentioned in your paper; they are not in alphabetical order. They are also added in the bibliography list.
