Terrific food good service shrimp and chili relleno spectacular. Crowded on Saturday night worth the short wait.

This place is very popular! There was about a 20 minute wait on a Tuesday when I went right when it opened. The service was very quick and friendly when I was seated though. I got the chips, salsa and guac to start and they were all very good and it was a lot of food. Then I got the combination plate. I liked the hominy on the plate. I thought the taco was very good as was the cheese enchilada. I took a slice of avocado pie home and it had a very unique flavor that I enjoyed. I would come here again.

Service was 5 stars. Food was bland and boring. Â Not sure why this place is so popular. So many better places to eat in or near Taos including The Love Apple (best mole I've tasted), Jalepenos Tacos + More (best red and green Chile I've tasted), Aceq in Arroyo Seco (creative flavorful menu)...

Stopped here last night around 7:45pm with a party. The girl in charge of putting peoples names down was flat out rude. Basically made it feel like we had one choice, which was to leave because the place closed in an hour. I went back in to clarify wait time with her again as she wasn't clear and again she was rude. Sorry but I'd rather go somewhere else and give them my service. Our party left and we went somewhere else. I don't care how good people say the food is, hospitality is important and we did not feel welcome.

Sooo good! Â The food was really good and the service was great. Highly recommend this place and the avocado lime pie was delicious.

Wow- we lived this place
Arrived early and waited for them to open. I had the combo plate- cheese enchilada with red sauce, pork tamale and beef taco. The beans and posole are a nice addition
Chips and salsa are additional and well worth it. My husband had the chili relleno which I highly recommend! With steak and for dessert we had the avocado pie ( also amazing). Our friends had the Los Colores and three taco plate. - Jenna P.Chicago, IL038968112/29/2021
Best Mexican in Taos!
Wait was better than told. My favorite was the shrimp and chili relleno. The shrimp was grilled with red and green chili and was delicious!! - Barbara H.Los Angeles, CA141293/10/2022
This place is always packed, but don't give up. Tables turn quickly and the food is worth the wait. I had a combinacion, to see how their blue corn taco and enchilada were (delish) and I wanted to try a NM tamale - it was the best I've ever had. Really thin masa filled with nicely seasoned meat. My only regret was they couldn't get avocados that day so we couldn't try the avocado pie. Oh well, have to come back!

Very busy restaurant with a waiting line. Â The line moved pretty fast for the dinner hour and a small restaurant. Â We were looking for green Chile dinner and boy did we find it! Â The best green Chile enchiladas I've had in southern Colorado and norther New Mexico. Â You will not be disappointed. Â Warning the chips and salsa are hot hot hot so beware if you order.

Small seating area so plan to wait BUT it worth it! Â All 6 of us had different entrees but all were excellent. Only here for 3 nights but I will come back. Don't pass this one up.
