Shea Theodore Set To Return For Golden Knights - The Hockey News Vegas Golden Knights News, Analysis and More Skip to main content

Vegas Golden Knights star defenseman Shea Theodore is set to return to the lineup after sustaining his upper-body injury on Nov. 22.

Theodore received surgery following his injury and missed the following 35 games. The Golden Knights went 18-13-4 since Theodore went down with his injury.

Theodore spoke to the media about his injury and his return to the lineup.

"It's tough, that's probably the hardest part about it, not being around the guys."

He also credited the Golden Knights for being patient and allowing him to fully recover.

"At no part did they rush me. It's a long season, obviously it's tough taking a break right in the middle but the most important part of the season is right now."

Theodore's presence in the lineup was missed on the power-play and the Golden Knights are thrilled to add him back. Theodore has four goals and 18 points this season and two of his goals came on the power-play. He also leads all Golden Knight defensemen in power-play points.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy also spoke about Theodore's return to the lineup.

"We'll be cleaner on the exits, maybe some easier entries in the neutral zone. His ability to move the puck, find people at the right time is just exeptional. I would assume we'll see more offensive growth in our game because that's his strength."

After tonight's game against the Nashville Predators, the Golden Knights will play six straight games against Eastern Conference teams and five of those games will be on the road. The addition of Theodore comes at a crucial time.
