Just think how many times this has happened to that poor girl in private. She’s sick. 6 years isn’t enough
I'm at a loss for words. That poor girl. You have to wonder how bad her life is at home.
Think this happened yesterday/Sunday. Saw the police and fire truck there
Anything less than 6 is insulting to the victim.
No matter what, it will be insulting to the victim. Even 6 is nothing
I think America needs to stop focusing on retribution and focus more on rehabilitation. If that takes 6 years, sure.
And I'm pretty sure that severe punishment has been shown not to deter crime but maybe for some it does? Not enough though.
There are a certain crop of people who just want to see the book thrown at people. They fail to look long term and would completely change their opinion of the system if they ever had charges against them. If they actually knew how expensive their desired level of incarceration would be, they'd be screaming about the massive tax increases.
The money lost from the ~2017/Trump era tax breaks for the rich would be lovely going towards rehabilitation, child care for workers, and maternity leave.
Here's an economist's take on those tax breaks: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLfH2PdL/
Looked her up on Facebook. Neither her nor the father are super active, but there's no shortage of the mom getting attention from her daughters medical info. Sick, twisted bitch. Who the hell could stomp on their kid??? Let alone their disabled child???? There were so many opportunities for her to stop and catch herself, make a different choice, but she was literally dragging her child around a parking lot in broad daylight. I feel awful for their daughter, I would guarantee that this isn't the first time she's been treated this way and I hope and pray that this is the worst it's ever been. I also hope her daughter can get away from living this way, it's extremely unfortunate circumstances, and at the very least, Dana needs to take a fuckin anger management class before she's allowed anywhere near her daughter again.
I used to investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation on people with disabilities. The vast majority of the incidents are caused because of stress. It is not even close. The caregiver becomes so stressed that they do the wrong thing. I’m not giving an excuse for her actions, I’m giving a potential cause. She needs to be punished and I truly hope she is.
This incident should shine a light on the problem of lack of support for families who have individuals with disabilities. There is deliberate denial of services going on. Our agency had openings for residential services for months and the state just flat out would not give us referrals, which is the only way we can fill vacancies.
This.
I'm so sorry people have to experience this.
It is unfortunate and it doesn't. have. to. be. this. way. Fucking VOTE for candidates that will end Starve The Beast style Republican "governance" and give us the social services and safety nets we're fucking paying taxes for.
I had to be a caregiver for my dad after a stroke. I only lasted 1.5 years. It got to the point I was considering institutionalized myself because the stress was so much I started to not function properly. He would call and call and bang with his cane because he needed water and I would just lay on the floor on the second story of the house and disassociate.
I tried to kill myself and my brother did too. I luckily had friends that intervened and when my dad was recovering in a home from surgery basically showed up to my house to remove me and let me live with them.
We got my dad's care sorted out with nurses and are now working to have him in a home. It sucks. I feel like I failed. But staying would have resulted in so much worse for both of us. Luckily all the stress was taken out on myself. I had to have staples in my head and stitches from self harm, but it could have been worse and I'm better now.
You're right, there is no support for caregivers and a lot of judgement if you can't do it. Not excusing actions either, but these situations can break people and its not good for either party :(
How many times did this happen before someone bothered to call the cops?
If it’s like this in public, imagine how bad it must be at home.
There is a special place in hell for people like this…
I know this family and was there regular server mostly everytime they came into a different establishment. I can say I am honestly surprised. They did look stressed out always... but also optimistic and uplifting too. We loved these people and they were always kind to the staff. The child just absolutely loveeeeed me and I always remember that. She's a sweetie no doubt. If i say anymore it'll more easily dox myself. This is very sad.
That poor girl.
Ma'am this is a Wendy's.
I knew someone would say it, and im glad it didnt have to be me
Wendy's believes no child should be beaten. You are an unfit mother: your children will be placed in the custody of the Dave Thomas Foundation to await adoption.

It's never too early to meme about a tragedy.
Garbage person
I was literally driving past that Wendy’s and saw multiple squad cars and EMS vehicles outside of there with their lights flashing.
Until I read this, I thought they had a kitchen fire.
Shit, dude.
1-6 years doesn’t seem like enough!
Serious question, what Bburg church does this lady attend?
Conservative Family Values. Google 'youth pastor mugshot' and see if she shows up.
Burn the witch.
This is why I believe there is no god. Innocence put in the hands of truly evil people. There’s no justification.
A-fucking-men.
Wow she looks crazy familiar. Did she work for the school system?
EDIT: this wasn’t a snarky dig or some political commentary. I went to Brownsburg schools and I thought she looked very familiar from my time there. I also lived and worked in Brownsburg so it could have been through something else.
Saw someone on Angela Ganotes fb post about this say she did & that she was a special needs teacher or assistant
She does not work in the school system. This is false information.
She does not work in the school system. This is false information.
I didn’t say she did. I was asking if she did. She looks familiar from my time living in the town.
EDIT: I saw you were replying to another comment. That’s now how Reddit formatted the thread for me at first.
Hm. When I lived there the biggest problem we had was teen suicides and barely contained racism.
The teen suicides were probably due to the child abuse
Dana took one too many of those pills developed in our own back yard. Thanks lilly.. Wonder how she would have treated her if she could have just ate some cannabis gummies or smoked a doob. Thinking she wouldnt have been beating her daughter after smoking a fatty, proly still be at wendys tho. Frostys are on point after a lil smoke sesh.
People like you are why weed isn't legalized nationwide yet. Thanks for continuing the stigma, dork.
Huh, u must be one of those people thats loaded down on anti depressants bc u dont have a strong enough mind to handle life. Keep eating ur pills buddy, maybe someday all those chemicals you put in ur body will make u forget who u really are..
I have known this family for years. I do NOT believe that this went down the way it is stated in the newspaper or by the police. The situation should not be judged in the media.
