Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Gillian W19 contributionsWhat an astonishing piece of work. Set in a fantastic building with a good wee cafe and lovely staff.
160+ tapestry panels, set out with background info at each, plus occasional interesting back stories.

The gardens are also lovely, if small. They had some beautiful flower display and a lovely memorialWritten 26 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BibcayGateshead, UK4,310 contributionsLocated in the high street, you will find some benches and flowers for you to look at and sit at. It’s not amazing but it’s pretty good though.Written 31 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

I actually didn't know he was real until I seen this statue, so it was a nice surprise.Written 21 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Easy drive down the A7 and the entrance is quickly upon you, before a long downhill drive way into the small car park.
The welcome we receive when we arrived was a massive surprise; friendly, inviting and cheerful. Exactly how it should be, but seldom is at other places.
The course is tricky. Great condition, some testing holes, but not too punishing for a poor shot. The rough was well kept and despite not being in much of it, there was enough of a penalty to make you think.
Greens, bunkers and fairways were all in good condition and the scenery is spectacular.
Overall, we played well, perhaps that shapes the thinking, but on a personal note, I loved it.
Great people, great place and great golf course. Thanks to everyone involved and we’ll be back.Written 22 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
