It’s show time in Ipswich and there’s heaps to see and do, from traditional show events to spectacular stunts, there’s something for everyone.

See Bluey on stage 

Bluey & Bingo Live Interactive Experience has performed in Ipswich at Tulmur Place

Everyone’s favourite Blue Heeler is coming to the show!  See a Bluey Live Interactive experience on the community stage at 2pm on Sunday and in the main arena (also on Sunday) at 5pm.  Get ready to play Magic Asparagus, Magic Xylophone, Keepy Uppy and more with your favourite Heeler duo.

Plus meet and greet Bluey and Bingo at 3pm and 4pm on Sunday 19 May in the Exhibition Pavilion. 

Note: The meet and greet is free of charge, however a limited number of places will be available. Those wishing to attend must acquire a Bluey Live Experience ticket from the Ipswich Show Information Booth between 10:30am to 12:30pm on Sunday or until the tickets have been exhausted. Tickets are per family/friend group.

At this year’s show there will be a huge Animal Precinct with koalas, llamas, horses, hatching chicks, piglets, lambs, chickens and more.

Plus D’Aguilar Wildlife will be providing an experience to get up close and personal to some beautiful wildlife. There will also be sheep shearing, cow milking demonstrations, pig racing and sheepdog trials.

Ashton Circus will be at the 2024 Ipswich Show

Ashton Circus will be at this year’s show with incredible stunts, comedy and sky-high aerials.

Ipswich show art

The Ipswich Show runs an extensive competition schedule providing a platform for local community involvement and participation. Each year the show attracts more than 6000 entries and showcases the wealth of talent in our community. Competitions include Fine Art, Photography, Ceramics, Art in Bark, Wine, Woodcraft, Home Cooking, Schoolwork, Apiculture, Farm Produce, Preserves, Horticulture, Patchworking, Needlework, Scrapbooking, Fruit, Eggs, and Hand Embroidery.

Blazin' Bull Ride

At the Ipswich Show this year there will be a rodeo.  Head along on the Friday night of the show to the main arena to see bull riding action.

Monster Truck at the Ipswich Show

On Saturday and Sunday nights of the show you can see Monster Trucks.  Watch all the carnage from 7.40pm on Saturday night in the Main Arena and 5.30pm on Sunday.

Woodchopping competition

One of the most popular attractions at the Show, Woodchopping, is an internationally recognised and accredited sport, a test of strength, timing, agility and a good eye. Some of Australia’s toughest axemen and women will test their skills in this year’s events.

Wander down sideshow alley

Side Show Alley: Ipswich Show

The Ipswich Show is not complete without the atmosphere of sideshow alley, the home of carnival attractions and sideshow games. Sideshow Alley provides hours of entertainment with an abundance of rides to suit all ages and levels of thrill-seeking.  It’s free to wander down, but you’ll need some extra cash if you want to participate.

Choose a showbag

Have you really been to the show if you don’t bring home a showbag to prove it?  There’s all kinds of bags available from bags for budding farmers and chefs, to your favourite cartoon characters, candy bags, chocolate bags and more!

Marvel at the fireworks 

Fireworks will feature at the Ipswich Show

Each night the show will feature a huge fireworks display.  See the dazzling displays at 6pm on Friday and Sunday nights and 8pm on Saturday night.
