Howard K. Grossman

Howard Grossman's career has encompassed nearly every facet of the entertainment industry in the United States, England, Russia, South Africa, Norway, Colombia, and Canada. He is highly experienced in the packaging and development of entertainment projects and is particularly adept at securing funding relationships and arrangements to facilitate his productions as well as working closely with many of the film and television industry's most talented writers, directors and producers. He has consistently delivered millions of dollars worth of funding for his Independent Motion Picture, Television projects, and live events. Some of his film and dramatic Television projects include; "Apprentice to Murder" starring Donald Sutherland; "Heartbreak House" starring Amy Irving and Rex Harrison, "True West" starring John Malkovich and Gary Sinese, and "The Dining Room" starring William H. Macy. Other television projects, he has produced include "The Beach Boys 20th Anniversary Special"; "The Beach Boy's a Celebration Concert"- HBO, "Billy Joel Live from Long Island"-HBO; and, "American Rock"-NBC (the first nationally televised "Battle of the Bands"). He has also produced TV projects with Culture Club, The Thompson Twins, Grace Slick, Todd Rundgren, Waylon Jennings, Mike Oldfield, Santana, Sister Sledge and many others. Howard has developed many independent projects, with other writers and producers and notable talent including Sir Richard Attenborough, John Briley, John Williams, John Fuller, Coretta Scott King, and many others. In 2006 Grossman Executive Produced a pilot called "The Scene", an animated TV series based on one of the most popular Internet TV series. He also Executive Produced "Stage Side TV" as an online TV pilot for the Coca Cola Company and The Jun Group which starred Ne-Yo. In 2008 he went on to create and executive produce a full season of the first original prime time animated TV series to ever air on PBS called "Click & Clack's As The Wrench Turns" (based on the famous "Car Talk" radio show on NPR. Grossman's company, GRO Entertainment is developing a mini-series called "Warriors of the Dream" based on the relationship between Martin Luther King Jr and his closest disciples which is being written by John Briley. Also well is the dramatic TV series "Strike Force" based on the true story of America's first elite under cover law enforcement agency post 9/11. GRO also has several animated TV series in development including M.O.L.E.S. (Masters of Lower Earth Squad). A graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Howard began his career in the mail room at Warner Bros. Studios and then became an assistant story editor at Warner Brothers Television. From there he became American Director at the Cartagena International Film Festival. Before going fully independent in 1980, he worked closely with several of the motion picture industry's best-known directors and producers Peter Bogdanovich, Frank Marshall and the legendary Orson Welles. Howard resides with his wife Marilyn Fiala (an artist) and daughter Susan (when she is in town) in Connecticut.
