Colt Ford Health Update: Singer Shows ‘Significant Progress’ But Remains In ICU

The Georgia native has been forced to cancel or reschedule all concerts through the end of August.

After suffering a heart attack after a concert earlier this month, country rapper Colt Ford remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Georgia native’s team recently shared an update on his health, revealing that he has made “significant progress” in his recovery and that his condition is slowly but steadily improving.

Due to his condition, all of his upcoming concerts scheduled through August 30 have been canceled. According to a release, refunds will be available at the point of purchase for canceled dates, and previously purchased tickets will be honored for any rescheduled dates.

As the 53-year-old continues to heal, his family requests privacy and thanks fans for the outpouring of support in light of his heart attack.

Colt Ford suffered a heart attack on Thursday, April 24 following a concert at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona. He was transferred to a hospital and treated in the ICU where he remains to this day.

Hailing from Athens, Georgia, Colt Ford is a multi-platinum singer/songwriter who is best known for the original recording of Jason Aldean’s “Dirt Road Anthem.” Ford co-wrote the platinum-selling hit with Brantley Gilbert.

The Georgia native has suffered several health issues in recent years, including eye cancer and Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disease.
