Despite many visits here, today was the first time I tried the cafe for food.
Positives: great food, piping hot, good-sized portions, amazing chips. I only had the ploughman's thinking it would be light, but I was completely stuffed afterwards!
Negatives: slightly unclear as to whether they are supposed to be clearing tables or not. It was hard to find a clean table, and lots of tables seemed to have people who had mostly bought a picnic and added a purchased drink to justify sitting. No one came to wipe tables while we were there. Maybe some signs are needed to tell you what to do with your dishes?

To be fair to staff, it was Easter school hols, so I'd hope it would be cleaner normally.

Member parking is free as usual for NT.

Had a walk along the downs path. Sadly, there seems to be an issue with takeaway food rubbish being heavily piled up by several of the benches, which was unpleasant.

I am really glad that we have this near our house as it’s a lovely place that gives us a chance for us to be around nature; it is the only place where you can have a walk on the woodlands that is a walk away from me so it is perfect

Bedfords Charter market has to be one of the best locally, offering fresh vegetable meat and dairy products, you can one carrot or a bunch of; every conceivable vegetable including those from abroad, fresh free range eggs and there's even a butcher offering fine cuts of meat. All in one place, the queues alone are an indicator to the markets popularity.

Just back from our first visit to The Quarry Theatre. A superb venue, clean, modern\ and stylish. We saw an outstanding one woman performance and are already planning our next visit. Add to that a fabulous meal at The Three Rooms beforehand, with free parking just across the road, made this an evening better, and far cheaper, than a long, tiring trip to London.

As a Lutonian I know this park very well. As previously written it has lots going for it. Now it has crazy golf which is open weekend and school holidays, I believe you have to book on line but worth it as it looks well maintained and lots of fun. Also during the same times boats are now available to hire for the half a hour or longer maybe. A new children's small nature area with information on the new trees which have been planted has opened by the museum car park I found interesting to read about.

A fascinating visit on a beautiful day. The work, by volunteers, that has been going on to restore and replenish this huge octagonal walled garden is so impressive. The guided walk (over an hour) by a very well informed volunteer was very interesting on the history of the garden (as part of the Luton Hoo estate) and its restoration from an overgrown wilderness.

This project deserves all the support it can get.

Note that it is only open on Wednesdays between May and September. Check the website, first. And there's a very good Woodland Cafe, nearby.

went to see "Hound of the Baskervilles. It was a spoof on the original story. The cast were wonderful - it was a delightful experience - witty, funny and well acted. I have been a member for many years and the variety and quality of the plays they perform is remarkable. It is a very friendly theatre with a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

Wow!! We want to move in!
    What a wonderful place.
The staff were all so friendly and welcoming.
A proper farm, which in our opinions is so much better than the usual commercial petting farms.
    Lots
Of animals from birds, pigs, pony’s, alphas, lamas, goats, donkeys and more all of them very well cared for with lovely clean and good size enclosures. All the animals looked well in good condition which makes a huge difference to us.
A lovely little play area which allows for the children to use their own imagination to play.

We also did the “pat a pet” experience which we all said was the best pet handling experience we’ve ever encountered. We held everything from snakes, lizards, rabbits, chinchillas, hedgehogs, mice and more and unlike other places the animals seemed very happy to be held and even better there wasn’t a rush, being pressured to hold and pass on etc wasn’t there. We held a lot of animals more than once.

I would have happily paid for this and paid more for the experience.

We will definitely be making this a regular visit for us.

On our visit we seen the smallest cutest baby goat, baby donkey and baby chinchilla 😍

A guided tour around the vineyard was given to my wife and I as a gift.

The vineyard is a charity and is run as a community resource, perhaps, because of this, everyone we met was enthusiastic, friendly and wanted to ensure that you enjoyed the experience.

It is situated in a beautiful setting and easy to negotiate on foot.

We have been fortunate to have gone on on a number of vineyard tours around the world and this was one of the best. The content was well thought out, simple to understand and provide an insight into the difficulties of wine making.

The guide was excellent and delivered the talk in a straight forward and clear way.

The obligatory wine tasting was also ver enjoyable!!!

It was a great way to spend a couple of hours.

The only down side is that the vine yard is tricky to find using a SatNav a better way would be to use What Three Words where the location is: routs.incur.those

Our visit to Animal Edge farm was simply amazing! The outdoor flow yoga class with the goats was a unique and heartwarming experience. Afterwards, we got to pet and feed the friendly farm animals and enjoyed delicious smores by the pit fire. The combination of yoga, nature, and adorable goats made it a unique and unforgettable experience. A big shoutout to Danielle and Julie for creating such a wonderful environment to reconnect with nature and animals. Highly recommended for a few hours of nature, yoga, and fun!

St Mary's Church is in Luton Town Centre close to the Arndale Centre. It is also next to the University which seems to dwarf the church. It is a real shame that this classic building has been surrounded by newer (now dated) buildings and seems very out of place in the area.

That said it has an unusual design with a mixture of white stone with black rock giving it a chequered look which is not something I have seen before and I like.

They have services on Sunday and are open for silent prayer on Wednesday.
