The Royal Academy of Dance, Singapore, is a subsidiary of the Royal Academy of Dance, London, United Kingdom. The local entity was incorporated in July 1988, to provide support to students and teachers in the country.
Our head office, The Royal Academy of Dance was established in 1920. The Academy promotes knowledge, understanding and practice of dance internationally. We seek to accomplish our mission through promoting dance, educating and training students and teachers and providing examinations to monitor and reward achievement.
Our syllabus is taught in over 82 countries in the world and our international network of examiners travel the world examining students. The Royal Academy of Dance is one of the largest and most influential dance education and training organisation in the world.
The first classical ballet examination of the Royal Academy of Dance was conducted in Singapore in 1953 and has continued till today.
