I really enjoyed attending Edison High School. Everyone was very connected and nobody held back from sharing their ideas. It felt like we were all a big family during my time there and I wouldn't change it for the world. I came from a huge school, making it hard to connect with people, but at Edison, everyone was supported, heard, and embraced. There is so much diversity which I am very appreciative for. The sporting events were always very lively and the teachers allowed us students to plan fun events, making them completely student led which really allowed us to incorporate all of our creativity into one big event. I believe that Edison really prepared me to be able to go off to college and share my ideas with others and become involved in clubs and other on campus activities. I am now an ambassador at Oklahoma state and without my leadership experience at Edison, I would not be where I am today.
When I started going to Edison, the school was overwhelmly white majority but as years went on the school gain a lot of diversity since then. Edison doesn’t have the best school culture, but there is one. E week is one of the best school events there. It celebrates Thomas Edison with fun events as well with a guy cheer tradition that each grade pose. It makes a fun memories. Overall Edison is a pretty safe school there almost never fights out there and everyone it’s pretty chill. The food has significantly improved as well as the cafeteria and snack bar, it’s very modern. I’ll say those were my highlights of Edison High School
In my experience at Edison, it is what you make it. I am involved in a sport so I have had a positive experience here. I know for those not not so involved their experience has not been positive due to other students.
