Product: hp spectre x360 convertible 15-ch008ca

I was recently given this laptop, and it was working fine.

 

I turned it off the other day, went back the next day, and it does not power on. The power light and charge light are blinking.

 

After doing the online troubleshooting, it is pointing to a board problem. I also discovered that it seems to be a common problem. 

 

Were there any recalls on this laptop, and if so for how long?
