Mental Health Nurse Educator/ Course Lead (Former Employee) - St. Louis, MO - December 27, 2019
The place is in jeopardy of losing accreditation and the dean was escorted out for falsifying budget information to the state board of nursing. End of story

Good and bad
Employee (Former Employee) - St. Louis, MO - November 19, 2019
Good: working with the students, the scheduled time off, some staff and faculty.
Bad: management (the owner, not sure if he knows how to manage and operate a school of nursing) facilities (not updated), funding.

Independence
Foundations Instructor (Former Employee) - St. Louis, MO - July 24, 2019
This school allows for a lot of independence in doing your job. The tasks are presented and suggestions given, but, ultimately, the individual can do it their own way. Someone is always available to ask questions of. I enjoy managing projects and I have had that opportunity.
Pros
Enjoy working with everyone here
Cons
Located in a not so good neighborhood

Faculty (Former Employee) - Jefferson City - July 15, 2019
My experience as a faculty member is unsatisfactory with the leadership. I love the students and teaching, but the leadership is unprofessional. Please pray before applying that things have changed.

Director
Nursing Faculty (Current Employee) - St. Louis, MO - March 8, 2019
Director continuously makes poor decisions and judgments based on fears of being sued by students. Students complain and always get their way. Faculty is never given information in a timely manner. School is up for sale.

Learning experience!!
Nurse Faculty (Current Employee) - St. Louis, MO - August 13, 2018
The school is very out of date, but the faculty are very nice to work with, and are very dedicated to the students, versus the almighty dollar. There is a lot of room for improvement, but because the school is owned by a private corporation, a lot of decisions dealing with money and updating things, are out of the director's hands.
Pros
More than 6 weeks paid leave a year
Cons
Leave is during set weeks according to the current academic calendar

Difficult place towork
Mr. Michael Motte, CEO St. Alexius Hospital (Current Employee) - St. Louis, MO - June 22, 2018
LSN has the potential to become a premier school of nursing. Wherever, Management does not-have that vision. Finding must be infused to keep the school running and competition

The Progam has dedicated faculty who want the best outcome for the students.
Full Time, Nursing Faculty (Current Employee) - St. Louis, MO - May 23, 2017
Recent Changes in management have left a large number of faculty feeling unhappy with the work environment. We believe the school needs a few changes to meet student needs, but we believe in the students and the program. The new Director is more interested in her power and has no managerial experience, leaving many of us to feel bullied. It is no longer a pleasant working environment

Best teachers I have ever worked with.
In-house Resident Advisor (Former Employee) - Saint Louis - September 22, 2013
This school offered the best opportunity for hands on experience. I learned how to communicate and be an advocate for nurses while working here.
