My husband & I just spent a couple days at West Baden to enjoy our “mini-moon” since our original planned honeymoon destination didn’t work out in our favor due to COVID. We LOVED our stay here! They took all the health & safety precautions seriously so it was a very comforting stay; our room/bathroom were spotless and I even noticed during our stay that they deep cleaned the chairs in the atrium after each use. There was no doubt in my mind they were exceeding every health precaution.

There was one minor hiccup where there was a miscommunication concerning our hotel package. I had called in & asked for the romance package but upon checking out, had been told that the package was never applied. We still were offered a very nice discount so realistically we paid better than the package, just missed out on the bottle of wine but they took such great care of us that it didn’t matter!! Stacey assisted me at check out and was very helpful & informative about everything. While I only spent a few minutes talking to her, she is all around just a very sweet & pleasant person who loves to help others!

We most enjoyed the live music at night. With it being during the middle of the week, we didn’t have very many guests among us so it sounds like the musicians were playing just for us. We listened to a pianist, harpist & a guitarist and they were all so talented.

The food at each restaurant was very good, however be prepared to pay a high price! It was also nice to ride the trolley over to French Lick & enjoy their amenities as well. The drivers were all very pleasant & we never waited more than 10 minutes. The entire staff at the resort was so so sweet & happy to assist in any way. Very thankful for the gentleman at the valet who assisted my husband when his truck wouldn’t start!

Overall, it was an extremely relaxing getaway and perfect start to enjoying the holiday season. I’ll always recommend West Baden & French Lick Resorts to everyone!!

Can't say enough great things about our stay here. Very relaxing, the food was outstanding and the service from the minute you step out of your car was exceptional. The spa, and the casino was a nice treat. Won some money at the casino too! I would recommend making reservations in advance before your arrival for the spa, tours etc. Also if bringing a pet make sure it is known upon making reservations because rooms are limited and please clean up after your pet. Beautiful grounds and very interesting history. You can grab a coffee a drink and sit outside of both hotels and just relax. We did the drive thru safari not far from the hotel and it was alot of fun, don't miss it. They do an excellent job of making sure everything is clean and sanitized. Overall great stay and can't wait to visit again.

Our stay at West Baden was overall a lovely time. We splurged and got a deluxe, outside view room. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable. The sitting room was enjoyable. The windows/drapes were striking. We couldn't get over how beautiful the chandelier in our room was! We secluded ourselves into that room and enjoyed the two tv's, jacuzzi tub (which was smaller than we anticipated but still lovely), and room service.

The biggest downside was the food. I understand that it's essentially a resort, but if we're paying upwards of $30-$40 a person, I'd like to be wowed by the food. All of our food was mediocre at best, and not worth the price at all. We were served cold french fries at one point. The minimal food options would truly would be the biggest deterrent to us returning. There were also almost no vegan options available, which would be an excellent thing to potentially work on, and the cost of oatmeal was comparable to the cost of ricotta pancakes? This didn't add up for us. At breakfast, the drip coffee was priced the same as our lattes? The coffee that we brewed in-room was superior to the lattes we were served at Sinclair's. (Even with sugar added the ratio of milk to espresso was terrible.) I don't mind paying for pricey food if it's worth it, but I noticed a lot of people who didn't clear their plates at breakfast.

Again, our room was lovely, but the price markups on everything definitely marred the experience a little. I'm happy to pay luxury prices if the quality of food and services live up to the price tag, but I can't honestly say the food did that for us.

Overall, thank you for a solid weekend away. We're well-rested, and had a good time. Entering the space feels like what it must have been like to walk onto the Titanic. a beautifully preserved historic landmark.

We just visited West Baden again, 3rd time in past few years. It was clean, everyone was wearing masks, social distancing, felt very safe while visiting. Temperature check upon entering property and new wristbands each day, indicating temperature check done. Only one eating establishment open due to CDC pandemic guidelines, it served good food, open air atrium, tables spaced 20 feet apart, our first time to dine out in four months! What a nice treat! We enjoyed horseback riding while visiting and just enjoyed the beautiful hotel and grounds. All staff members were helpful, taking the necessary precautions for safety and cleanliness. It was such a nice getaway from being quarantined for four months at home. West Baden hotel never disappoints!

Due to Covid, we had to cancel our planned 40th anniversary trip. At the last minute we decided to go for a weekend trip to West Baden. It was wonderful. The hotel is stunning. We were not able to get a balcony room but did get the atrium king room. It is very spacious. During your stay, housekeeping does n0t enter your room. Guests' temperatures are taken daily and you receive a wristband to wear each day. They are really conscientious about safety. While there we ate at the steakhouse which was pretty bad. We have eaten in many high end steakhouses in Chicago so we weren't put off by the prices but the quality was sub par. The restaurant in the Atrium was better. We visited the casino 2 nights. The casino is also diligent regarding the health and safety of guests. Temperature is taken as you enter. Horseback riding on site was fun. We also did the safari ride located about one mile from the resort and had a blast. Combining all the activities available, the beauty of the resort and grounds, along with the friendly staff (Cameron at valet was wonderful) this is a great little gem! Plus it is operating at 50% capacity which made it very nice. Only hotel guests are allowed 0n the grounds.

Everything about our 3 night stay was wonderful. We splurged for an interior room with a balcony overlooking the atrium and it was worth every penny. Our room was spacious, and the bathroom was probably as nice as we’ve ever experienced. A double sink vanity, tub with a shower, a separate shower, and a separate toilet area.

The balconies are original to the building dating back over 100 years. They are small, but big enough for two chairs and perfect for enjoying the piano playing from 6-9 in the atrium. We took advantage all 3 evenings. No balcony? No problem. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the atrium with a bar available.

I can be picky, but I have nothing but good to say about our stay at this beautiful and historic hotel!

SO IMPRESSED with how they are handling a resort during this pandemic. Social distanced tables, bathrooms, check-in, everything. I watched masked employees sanitize everything including chairs and menus every time someone touched them. It all felt so comforting.

Amazing sight to see! The history and feel to this place is incredible. You will get chills when you walk into the Atrium. Outdoor property is magnificent! The staff appears to be one big family, including management. We could feel their smiles from under their masks. Mary (front desk manager) was everywhere, top notch.

If you have been thinking about heading to this beautiful resort, stop thinking about it and head there! It’s almost like time has turned back. The 200 foot historic span dome in the main atrium part of the hotel, is a sight to behold, quite breathtaking. The grounds are beautiful, and the staff was so kind and helpful. The food and bar service was amazing. Nice outdoor pool, however it is a bit small. You would have to get there pretty early in the day to grab a lounger spot due to all the “social distancing” requirements.

The safety protocols that they have put in place during this pandemic time, makes everybody feel safe and sound. Everyone adhered to the requirements that the hotel had in place. No large crowds... They even keep your room empty for 48 hours before you arrive. There are beautiful hiking trails all around, fun two person bicycles to ride, and a very accommodating spa. The veranda is a great space to relax in a rocking chair and gaze over the formal gardens. In the evenings they had a wonderful piano player in the atrium.

An awesome place to take your dog. Make sure you request a pet friendly room, if bringing your buddy, and also make sure you have a crate. There is a requirement to keep the dog crated while left in the room alone. Upon arrival our doggy received her very own dog bowl and treats. Dogs must stay leashed in the common areas.

The town of French Lick is also charming and just a one minute drive away or so. But many of the places in town were closed due to COVID-19 issues...

My husband surprised me for my birthday. We stayed in a 1BR suite, which was amazing and spacious. The bed was the most comfortable, plush bed we’ve ever slept in. Even the pillows were fantastic. The bathroom was just as amazing as the rest of the room. The jetted tub was nice and relaxing. The walking shower was large and spacious.

The resort was open to guests only, due to COVID. Everyone was wearing masks on public areas and plenty of places to grab sanitizer and wash your hands.

The Christmas decor was absolutely breathtaking. We loved the tree in the atrium and walking through the lighted garden was magical!

My fiancé and I stayed at the West Baden Springs Hotel for a quick overnight getaway and really enjoyed the whole experience, as short as it was. The interior atrium is phenomenal and it was relaxing sitting there with a drink to just unwind. The room overlooked the atrium and was nicely appointed. The hotel grounds are also very nice. We enjoyed dinner at the 1875 Steakhouse at the French Lick Resort, easily accessible by the hotel shuttle. If you’re looking for a great hotel as you’re passing through southern Indiana, stop at West Baden, enjoy a cocktail in the huge atrium, grab a nice dinner, and try your luck at the French Lick Casino. You’ll enjoy it!
