Koto Nakazawa is one of the character allies you can meet and establish a bond with in Rise of the Ronin. An adept of using a heavy greatsword, she is a hardworker with a focused mind who is unrivaled by the men and women of her native land.

How to Recruit Koto

You can establish a bond of friendship with Koto Nakazawa in Chapter 2 of Rise of the Ronin, later in the story.

You'll need to advance the story after the tournament for the shogun, when you reach main Ronin Mission, Looking Ahead, and follow Kaishu Katsu's advice to try joining the Roshigumi for the shogunate. Koto will ask to tag along for the mission, and after you complete the mission, you'll impress both Koto and Tesshu Yamaoka to establish a bond with them.

Koto Nakazawa is a solid fighter, and while she wields a very slow greatsword, she can deal incredible damage and become bolstered if you go all-in on combat and are willing to sacrifice allies to increase your defensive power.
