• David Holmes is great to witness perform live. He's lively, passionate, energetic, and very connected to his fans, with lots of fan interaction. He encouraged us to be loud, move around, dance, and so on. He's great at provoking a crowd to be as energetic as he is. The music itself is smooth, relaxing, and engaging. He moves around himself a lot on stage and can be quite mesmerising in his movements and gestures. He dresses casually and appears relaxed and loose, allowing himself to get wild on stage without hesitation. The crowd, as a result, was likewise relaxed and felt at liberty to move their bodies and make noise. The venue was outdoors and held quite a bit of people, although we were all bunched in and closed together. The performance is great for the summer time as it's upbeat and encouraging. Everyone had a smile on their face and appeared to be enjoying themselves, whether on stage or in the crowd. I highly recommend seeing David Holmes give a live performance if you ever have the chance, as you will have a great, exciting time. It will invigorate you, as the group's optimism and vigor is highly contageous.

• A room. Part setting for some gothic abomination, part bordello. Heavy with gin infused breath and stale Gauloises. Red velvet shrouding faded glory and past atrocities. An expectant hum emitting from the cast of curiosities. Then cutting the fug like the Ripper’s blade, a sound from a distant memory. At once familiar and and yet as alien to my ear as the Siren’s song. To dance or to cry? The dark figure behind the magical machinery transporting those present to a feeling long past and anticipation of something to come, evaporates into the night to be succeeded by acolytes of the same church. Mesmerising figures beguiling all who saw and heard.

  And then they were gone leaving all who witnessed to wonder. Was it real or some fantastic dream? Those curious enchanters called Unloved.
