I attempted to do the paralegal courses. I wanted very much to do them in person but despite registering early, none were available . I agreed to take them online while being assured it was as good as the real thing. Let me start by saying I am not super tech savvy but I can certainly make a website work, when in fact it functions as it should. Sinclairs website does not. I found it 100% impossible to do thier online classes. I couldn't even get signed in to know what date I was starting and no support was available until the day school started so I missed all my first classes. I attempted to go ahead and do my assignments, was kicked off the web page and had to call support 3x in 1 hour for no reason. And that's on top of the system they use making you log in dozens of times just to do a simple task. When I finally was able to get my assignments I was unable to upload them. I dropped all classes and hoped I could sign up for in person classes next semester, still were unavailable
I’ve taken atleast 15 credit hours so far and I’ve loved Sinclair so much. I love how many different people there are and the classes are structured nicely. It’s really easy to navigate the campus and I enjoy that there are multiple locations around the dayton cincinnati area that are easily accessible and are safe! I would like to see the food selection in the main campus change up more!
AFFORDABLE TUITION, GREAT PROFESSORS, LITTLE HASSLE. Sinclair fits very well into a working professional's schedule. With the bevy of classes offered online and at multiple times in-person, this college has classes to fit around just about any schedule. Even without a scholarship, the classes are pretty affordable; Sinclair prides itself (rightfully) for having the lowest tuition rates in Montgomery County. My only reason for leaving out a star is the automotive program, which was where I started. The department chair, Justin Morgan, has a very quick temper. In addition, the automotive classes don't teach anything you can't learn from an actual auto repair shop. Once I switched to Legal Studies, I felt SO MUCH BETTER and see the reward in real time. The gen ed classes are also a lot of fun, especially when taken online. All in all, if you're looking to skip the student loans and the drama of a 4-year college, Sinclair is just the school for you!
