Audience Member The ultimate indie film, Booze Boys & Brownies is a joy to watch. Writer/director/star Veronica Mannion lights up the screen. The film is funny, thoughtful, visually interesting and the musical numbers are very well executed. If you're looking to watch something delightful, look no further! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Caught this on the festival circuit and it was a standout. Sharp and funny. A great coming of age for twentysomethings/early millennials. Plays like a less bro-y Swingers... with musical numbers! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Omg I freaking loved this movie! It's so real and the songs are catchy and short. Veronica Mannion is incredibly funny and relatable. It reminded me of LaLa Land only better. I want to watch it again! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I found this gem recently and cannot recommend it enough. I'm admittedly a bit of a musical skeptic (see: snob) particularly when it comes to the lyricist (I'm one of those rare straight boy Sondheim freaks) . The director/writer (Veronica Mannion) manages to match an uncanny story telling quality with awesome lyrics, and simple yet super catchy melodies. But the best part is the story itself. Coming of age in the world is one thing, but coming of age as a young woman in Hollywood is a whole different ball of wax and I can't fathom a more real depiction of that, all the while never sacrificing humor or, more importantly, authenticity. This movie is excellent. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member This indie movie is funny, heartwarming and packed full of one-liners... A cult classic in the making. It also includes original songs which are a breath of fresh air in your typical comedy/slice of life movie. And it's written, directed, and produced by the lead in the movie Veronica Mannion. Love seeing someone's vision come to life! I enjoyed this! Good girls night movie, or even good for couples, or solo viewing.
