Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great visit very interesting . Bob and Ronnie. Two ex fishermen were very helpful and polite. Obviously very professional and knowledgeable tour guides. Thank you. My two grandchildren were so interested ages 9.12 and so quite taking it in especially the Ross tiger tour. History of the vikings and fishing history had them asking questions which was great . Myself my wife and daughter also enjoyed every minute of it . My grandchildren live away pleased on their visit this time we finally visited the centre. It’s a must visit heritage centre , thank you to the cafe staff for a lovely coffee etc all take care 😊👍

Went to Docks brewery on Friday the 24th of May, on my arrival I was asked what my preference of beer was, of which I replied NEIPA then John proceeded to recommend 4 x Docks beers I should try of which if I’m honest I tried all 4 , during our numerous conversations from table to bar it was mentioned there was a beer festival on the Saturday and we should try and attend.

Upon our Saturday arrival we were welcomed by some hard hitting breweries hasten to say we we tucked into bed by 20-00 hours on that evening, some may call me a light weight, I blame johns exceptional Knowledge over the 2 x days , even getting the wife to sample the Barley Wine😂😂,

Thank you Docks and especially John for a top weekend we Will certainly be attending again.

Constructed in the former police cells at the town hall.Lots of wooden steps going up and down, bit like a maze.
A lot of information on small, not always well lit panels.I read what was of interest and left the rest.I was in there about an hour.

Wow, what an incredible performance from the cast of Girl on the Train! The lead actress Debbie Appleyard was outstanding! My first visit to this lovely little theatre, but it certainly won't be the last. Well done to all the cast and production team, loved it!

Visited to watch a production of the musical show 'Oliver'. The show was wonderful and the auditorium provided just the right staging for it.
The sound and lighting were excellent and this makes for excellent theatre.
I suppose the only critisism might be that for a tall person the leg room is barely adequate in the banked middle section of seating. At the interval we moved to the back section and found a little more legroom. This did not detract from the overall enjoyment afforded by the venue.

Found by chance and had a lovely experience. Volunteers were very helpful telling us the rabbits names.
The paths were obviously very recent and helped keep the visit mud levels to a minimum.

Great selection of friendly animals to meet, feed and stroke.
Great selection in the gift shop and the café definitely worth another visit.

Loved the little signs with all the animals names and birthdays on very sweet touch!

Nice small soft play area for the kids, although it can get a bit hectic if teenagers decide to join the fun. Staff are friendly and stomp on any problems immediately if it is reported to them. There is a little area for the tinies to play in too. Food is bog standard for these places but not overpriced. They do organised parties too. Easy access for wheelchairs and the toilets are always clean.

People's Park is a well maintained park with a large lake and mature trees. You can watch wildlife, picnic or walk your dog. Well behaved children and teenagers are often seen enjoying a game of volleyball or football. It is a quiet oasis in a busy town.

Toilets are available free of charge but unfortunately there is no longer a café so you will need to bring your own ice-creams and snacks.

Love the gallery - the staff are lovely and friendly and they do some hilarious shows... really need daft stuff in this town. The current show is really poignant, with the lost Fountain that has been re-displayed as well.
    Amazing!

The Bishop is a very caring man with other's needs a priority in his life. Frequent socials are friendly affairs where fun is enjoyed by all. Whilst visiting, cut along to the Family History Centre, it's free with very helpful staff helping you identify long lost ancestors.

Lovely food with a pleasant atmosphere. There is a wide range of food on offer. Today, we had the mixed grill served in a pitta bread and the chicken & fries. The food portions we had were plentiful. The 30cm fries seem somewhat expensive at £4 per portion… I would have liked the chicken & fries to have been served with a chopped salad topping, including spring onions. The area appeared to be clean and tidy although no hair coverings were worn. I would prefer to see hair nets and masks worn by staff. Food is definitely worth a try.
