Nathan Lee Graham on starring in the Tony-winning musical Hadestown

The actor talks to Q guest host Talia Schlanger about the challenges and joys of starring in Hadestown, and how the advice he got from an acting coach changed his approach to the rest of his career.

Nathan Lee Graham stars as the charismatic narrator Hermes in the Tony Award-winning musical Hadestown, which tells a version of the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.

He sits down with Q guest host Talia Schlanger to talk about the challenges and joys of the role, how being visible as a Black, gay actor is part of his activism, and how the advice he got from an acting coach changed his approach to the rest of his career.

Hadestown is in Toronto now until Aug. 20 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, and will be traveling to Ottawa, Calgary and Edmonton later this year.
