77% Tomatometer 93 Reviews 75% Audience Score 1,000+ Ratings Bridgerton follows Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family as she makes her debut onto Regency London’s competitive marriage market. Hoping to follow in her parent’s footsteps and find a match sparked by true love, Daphne’s prospects initially seem to be unrivaled. But as her older brother begins to rule out her potential suitors, the high society scandal sheet written by the mysterious Lady Whistledown casts aspersions on Daphne. Enter the highly desirable and rebellious Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), committed bachelor and the catch of the season for the debutantes’ mamas. Despite proclaiming that they want nothing the other has to offer, their attraction is undeniable and sparks fly as they find themselves engaged in an increasing battle of wits while navigating society’s expectations for their future. Critics Consensus

The risqué thrill may have faded, but Bridgerton remains a compulsive episode-turner in this delightful sophomore season.

Udita Jhunjhunwala Scroll.in In its reimagining of Regency-era London (between 1811 and 1820), Bridgerton continues to be colourful and colour-blind. May 4, 2022 Full Review Eliana Dockterman TIME Magazine ...it’s difficult to imagine that Bridgerton will ever make quite the splash that the first season did without stars like Page who strike the perfect balance between steamy and silly... Apr 19, 2022 Full Review Scott Bryan BBC.com Weve reviewed so many period dramas that always feel the same theyre always static, laboured and slow. Bridgerton is like the antidote to all of that. Rated: Must Watch Apr 6, 2022 Full Review Shelli Nicole Vogue Bridgerton is taking its first steps toward true inclusion, which inevitably invites a critical eye, but with six books still to go, I hope future characters get the storylines they deserve. Oct 16, 2023 Full Review Nuha Hassan Film Cred Kate and Anthony’s story earns plenty of pearl-clenching moments, and the audience is sure to enjoy the “lovers to enemies” trope blossoming before their eyes. Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Pramit Chatterjee Digital Mafia Talkies If you’re a fan of watching conventionally hot actors pining for each other despite having no chemistry for around eight hours and have the ability to ignore the history that this show seeks to whitewash, then Bridgerton is for you. Alice K Good ‘forbidden’ love, love story. However, I didn’t care much about the executive heavy breathing. No one breaths that heavy in real life… Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/25/24 Full Review stefani e Much better than the previous season. Excellent chemistry and tension between the main characters. Good progression of events, as it doesn't rush through the love story. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/25/24 Full Review Gabriela C Kate and Anthony really translate the dynamic from enemies to lovers. It's beautiful to see their journey, they have explosive chemistry. I feel like I need more Kanthony scenes. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/23/24 Full Review Jana J The writing isn’t as tight as season 1 & the love triangle between the 2 sisters & Anthony was needlessly dragged out. It was also disappointing how they veered so far away from the material source. They had the wrong couple almost wedded until the younger sister realized what was happening behind her back & stopped the wedding herself. Enjoyed Charithra’s & Jonny’s performances though. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/23/24 Full Review Pamela A This season was the best of the saga , I am just pleased with the actors roles and trama. Simply LOVE IT!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/22/24 Full Review Frances C The chemistry between the two leads was incredible, but the way their story was treated by the show runners it felt as though they were being relegated to a sub plot in their own season. Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley were outstanding as Anthony and Kate. As an audience member I felt short changed with only a couple of moments of their happy ending the end of the last episode. The sub plot with the Featheringtons was totally irrelevant and unnecessary. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/20/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
