Blackmagic Forum • View topic - There was an error when attempting to perform the activation
We've bought DaVinci Resolve Studio around 2 months ago. It has worked flawlessly, however, today it asked for the license key again when I started it. I've entered the key again, and a red message was shown, saying "There was an error when attempting to perform the activation. Please contact Blackmagic Design support for assistance."
I tried to restart my computer, restart Resolve, but nothing helps, I always get the same message when entering the key.
There seem to be a lot of reports about the activation server going wonky these last few weeks. Might be the only thing you can do is wait for things to work again.
(In mean time, maybe consider getting another license as a dongle to prevent this from ever happening again.)
My Biases:
You NEED training. You NEED a desktop. You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
