Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Watch Jodhaa Akbar for its beguiling moments of amour. The rest is window dressing. May 17, 2019 Full Review Namrata Joshi Outlook Gowariker builds the film on progressive, even if simplistic, politics that may not be palateable to all, but shows his own civility as a filmmaker. Needless to say, Ash and Hrithik work rather well as a pair... Rated: 3/4 Jan 29, 2019 Full Review Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle The music and dance that are such hallmarks of Bollywood filmmaking are here seamlessly incorporated into the story rather than creating a pause in the action. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 18, 2008 Full Review Ishmeet Nagpal Common Sense Media This epic drama can easily be counted as one of the classic historical romance sagas produced by Bollywood. Rated: 5/5 Jul 19, 2023 Full Review Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat Spirituality & Practice An Indian epic, an intimate love story, and an interfaith masterpiece proclaiming that everyone is deserving of respect. Rated: 5/5 Jul 17, 2023 Full Review Khalid Mohamed Hindustan Times The action set pieces are sound and fury amounting to nothing. Amitabh Bachchan's voice-over commentary is stale. Kiran Deohan's cinematography is conventional and Ballu Saluja's editing is rather old-fashioned. Rated: 2/5 May 5, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews

Just love it , Ash and Roshan Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Spectacular production values. Really shows the grandeur of the Muslim influence on Hindustan. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Hrithik Roshan and the story weaved around him is irresistible. Rest of the cast is okayish but that does not matter. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the best Historical films of all time!!!! Hrithik's portrayal of Akbar is fantastic Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review yash b "Jodhaa Akbar" is a historical drama that works because of the strong chemistry and acting from the two leads. While this movie is overlong and at times tends to drag, I still thought it was watchable. The movie does a good job transporting you back into this era and the sets and costumes are effectively convincing. I don't particularly enjoy historical movies set in India but I think this is one of the better ones I've seen so far. It may just be that this particular genre doesn't interest me that much, but the slow pacing and extremely long length of the movie make it an experience I would only want to have once at most. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It's one of the best works of Ashutosh Gowariker, certainly, a lot of effort and manpower went to the creation of this fine masterpiece. The finest of details are mentioned meticulously and provided justice to the historical classic. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
