“She Ready” to do it all. With roles as an actress, producer and author on top of her successful standup comedy career, Tiffany Haddish's net worth in 2024 is a far cry from her past.

Haddish mastered a thing or two about managing money since her meteoric rise to fame, coming a long way from the days when she had to “learn the hard way” about credit card debt and personal finance. "I wish I would have known that you could use other people's money and both of you grow in the process, like when you make investments and stuff," she told Insider in 2021. "I wish I would have known that no matter how old you are, you can buy a house."

She added, "I'm trying to create something so when I turn 55 or 60, I don't have to work no more. I'm not about to spend it all up right now. I plan on living to at least 75. I need some money to play with."

Haddish isn’t just trying to earn big bucks, she also has big things in mind for her money.

“I would like to create generational wealth for my family and for everyone that works with She Ready Productions,” Haddish told Parade in 2020. “I want to be a baby Oprah or a baby Tyler Perry. I want to do big things to influence the world. I want to create a place where people can tell their stories.”

While Haddish has had quite the success story so far herself, it’s safe to say she’s only getting started. Find out Tiffany Haddish’s net worth and how she earned it, from comedy to books to movies and more.

How did Tiffany Haddish become famous?

Long before she was making millions, Haddish struggled to make ends meet. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, she was placed in foster care at age 12 after her mother was involved in a serious car accident. In a 2019 Instagram post reflecting on the early days of her career, Haddish wrote that she was “homeless, hungry, scared, and hurt.”

“My talent is what helped me survive,” the star said to David Letterman in 2019, explaining that she first started doing stand-up comedy in 1997 at the Laugh Factor Comedy Camp. She later went on to appear on comedy competition show Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes? and earned small roles in shows including My Name Is Earl, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Def Comedy Jam.

While her early acting roles didn’t make much—she once told GQ that her appearance on That’s So Raven “only paid, like, 750 bucks”—she went on to score a recurring role on NBC’s The Carmichael Show in 2015, a year before appearing alongside Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key in the 2016 action comedy Keanu. Shortly after, she rose to new levels of fame as the breakout star of the 2017 film Girls Trip, the role that cemented her status as a household name.

Her success hasn’t stopped her from being thrifty, however, as her love of Groupon even landed her a spokesperson deal with the brand in 2018. And while the star can surely afford closets full of designer duds, she’s also established a reputation for re-wearing outfits. She’s famously sported the same $4,000 Alexander McQueen dress at least nine times, including for appearances as high-profile as the 2018 Academy Awards and her 2017 Saturday Night Live hosting stint.

What is Tiffany Haddish’s net worth in 2024?

Tiffany Haddish’s net worth in 2024 is estimated at $6 million.

Haddish has said she chooses projects carefully, once turning down a $10 million endorsement deal because it didn't align with her personal brand. However, in 2022, Haddish told TMZ that she "lost all of her gigs" and had "no job" following a lawsuit alleging that she and comedian Aries Spears engaged in sexual misconduct in a humor video with minors in 2013.

The lawsuit was later dismissed with prejudice, with one of the now-grown children from the video saying in a statement at the time, “My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years—and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us. We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us.”

Haddish expressed concern for the children involved and said she was "relieved" at the lawsuit's dismissal.

How much did Tiffany Haddish make for Girls Trip?

Haddish’s fame skyrocketed following her role in the 2017 comedy Girls Trip, which featured an all-star female cast including Queen Latifah, Regina Hall and Jada Pinkett Smith. The film was a smash hit at the box office, reportedly raking in more than $140 million against a $20 million budget. But while the movie itself became 2017’s highest-grossing comedy, Haddish later revealed in an interview with HuffPost that she earned just $80,000 for her role.

“This movie made history,” Haddish said during her 2017 Saturday Night Live monologue. “It made $100 million plus—and I’m trying to figure out, where is my cut of that money, because I haven’t seen it at all yet. And all my friends are telling me, ‘Tiffany, you’re big time, you’re a star now, you’re ballin’ out of control.’ And I’m looking at my bank account like, ‘Uh-uh.'”

She added of her net worth, “I googled myself—it said I’m worth $2 million! What do I need to do to get this money? Fake my own death?”

It's likely she’d get quite the pay raise in the event of a sequel—or a different project with her Girls Trip co-stars. Haddish said the girl group reunited over Zoom in 2020 and planned to write a script together. “We might decide not to even make it Girls Trip,” she told the outlet. “Maybe we’ll do a different story just in case no one wants to make Girls Trip 2.”

In January 2022, Will Packer, producer of Girls Trip, confirmed on Good Morning America that a sequel is, in fact, in the works, saying, “We are absolutely in the stages, the ladies are in. I just talked to the director.”

How much did Tiffany Haddish make for Night School?

While it’s not publicly known how much Haddish took home for the 2018 Kevin Hart comedy Night School, the star certainly does her homework when it comes to show business salaries.

“I think the reason why, a lot of times, we don’t get paid the same as men do is because we don’t talk about [money],” the 38-year-old actress told Variety following the film’s release. “I think we do need to talk about it because I sure get in there and I’m like, ‘Hey, Kate Hudson. How much do they pay you for that? What kind of perks do you get for that?’ … I do the research. I ask around. I’ve made friends with line producers that cut those checks, production managers so I can be like, ‘So, on average, how much does a girl get paid for? How much does a guy get paid? Okay, I’m gonna ask for the guy fee on this one.’”

Although she didn’t mention a specific film, it’s possible she was referring Hart’s Night School salary (which is also not publicly known). The box office hit was somewhat of a full-circle moment for the two comedians as Hart, who has also been a vocal champion of equal pay, once gave Haddish $300 when she was living out of her car early in her career, per Metro.

How much did Netflix pay Tiffany Haddish?

In 2019, Haddish released both her own stand-up special, Black Mitzvah, and a series showcasing other comics, Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready, on Netflix. News of her Netflix deal followed fellow comedian Mo’Nique’s move to boycott the streaming giant after claiming they lowballed her with a $500,000 salary. The Precious star accused the company of racial and gender bias, saying they paid comedians including Dave Chappelle and Amy Schumer millions more.

While Haddish didn’t reveal exactly how much she was offered, she did say on Twitter, “I already got a deal and I signed it way before [Mo'Nique] said a thing and it’s not legend money but its [sic] enough to take care of my family for min. #Facts."

She later addressed the situation again in an interview with GQ, telling the magazine in part, “I'm not gonna protest because somebody got offered not the amount of money they wanted to get offered. If you don't like what they're offering you, just no longer do business with them.”

Haddish’s relationship with Netflix has continued in the years since her special, as the streamer renewed Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready, which she both hosts and executive produces, for a second season that began streaming in early 2021.
