Arlene Elliott Obituary

Arlene Mae Elliott, 79, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at her residence. Arlene was the widow of John L. Elliott, her husband of 49 years, and preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa. Born on July 15, 1942 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Reese. Arlene worked at and retired from Quaker Oats in Shiremanstown. She was a faithful servant of God, attended the Country and Town Baptist Church where she was a member of the Hospitality Committee and attended Bible School. Arlene so loved her family, enjoyed the holidays, weekends, and hosted many cookouts. Arlene was gracious to all that knew her, helpful to all in need, and a friend to all. She is survived by her four children, John Elliott of Enola, Lecia Shultz of Harrisburg, Wesley Elliott and Scott Elliott both of Mechanicsburg; two siblings, Tina Snyder of Rockledge, FL, Louis "Sonny" Reese of Lemoyne; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Her viewing and service will held at 10:00, Friday morning, June 10, 2022, at the Country and Town Baptist Church of Mechanicsburg, 220 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg. Burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, at 4855 Londonderry Road, Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the American Heart Association. www.pennlive.com/obits

Arlene was a wonderful woman. I don't think she realized how many lives she touched and how much she will be missed.
I will miss getting a birthday card from her every year, something I could count on like clockwork, her concern for everything happening in my life and the way she called me her favorite young bat.
Until we meet again, love you, Mom.
