Overall I have a good experience with Mamaroneck High School. Teachers were always available to help out, and there were lots of resources to take advantage of. My only issue is that available opportunities often weren't easy to hear about until rather late; I felt that there was sometimes lack of clear communication between administration and the students.
As a current senior, I would say the Mamaroneck High school is challenging, but in a good way. Academics push you in this rigorous environment and teachers, counselors, and other resources are here to help. Majority of the teachers I have had are good, few being amazing, and very few in the entire building being bad. Some students are bratty, privileged, etc, but that is to be found in majority of schools, but in the end, a good amount of students are friendly and willing to help. However, when it comes to college, it can get pretty bad. As a student who was rejected from my first choice (with others in the school being accepted), I felt very down on myself after seeing many people including friends celebrate in school and on social media (at least for my class, a instagram page was made where people are congratulated for enrolling in college). From the new Co-Lab to the culinary room, this school has made some neat investments. In the end, I feel that this school is pretty good.
we love to party. there is a weird social hierarchy but mostly everyone is cool and interesting. honestly my classmates all were very memorable. a lot of messed up stuff happened but I have Mamaroneck pride. people are really annoying about sports and college. some really good teachers, some awful tenured teachers. assemblies were lit ash. we have fun traditions but they can be exclusive.
