The following contains spoilers for the Invincible comics and TV show.

After two seasons of Invincible, Mark Grayson learned a lot about himself. This time, it wasn't about big fights and devastating wars. It was about Mark understanding that he needed to have his personal life in order and be properly prepared for the Viltrumites. In fact, Cecil, the Global Defense Agency and the Guardians of the Globe all recognized this.

They didn't have any Viltrumite tests this season, like when Omni-Man betrayed everyone in Season 1. But they had missions that proved they were far from ready for the cosmic conquerors. With that in mind, there are some things that fans need to see in Invincible Season 3 as the heroes aim to get in mental and physical shape.

10 Fans Want Invincible Season 3 to Reveal the Mole

Thaedus speaks to Allen about Invincible

Invincible Season 2 had Thaedus faking Allen the Alien's death. This was to power Allen back up upon resurrection. It was also meant to hide the fact that the Coalition of Planets had a secret weapon against the Viltrumites in Allen.

Season 3 needs to explore Thaedus' main concern: the mole in his organization. The comics didn't spend much time on it. But the show has tweaked things, hinting Allen's forbidden girlfriend, Telia, will join the investigation. It sets up a bigger arc than the source material.

With Robert Kirkman and Skybound planning an Invincible movie, there are many compelling story arcs that are primed for a live-action adaptation.

Season 2 had Cecil using a sonic signature from a kaiju after learning it could hurt Mark. This was a big change from the Invincible comics. However, the Prime Video series didn't show Cecil's lab weaponizing it.

Season 3 has to reveal how this sonic signature is being honed. It could even bring the villainous D.A. Sinclair in to work on it, as he's already working on other secret projects for Cecil. Most of all, Cecil could end up using it if Mark begins disobeying orders, adding drama, conflict and tension.

8 Fans Want Invincible Season 3 to Have Nolan Reconcile With Art

Kregg offers Omni-Man redemption in Invincible Season 2, Part 2

The Prime Video series already has Nolan shedding his past as Omni-Man. He's due to break out of the Viltrumite jail with Allen's help. While it's expected that he comes back to Earth to reconcile with Debbie, the Invincible TV show has to show more of him and Art as they were best friends.

The Invincible comics didn't do much with Art and Nolan in the redemption arc. Instead, it had Art crushing on Debbie, and the comics forgetting Art once Nolan came back into the picture. This animated series can rectify that by adding more nuance as Nolan apologizes to his tailor for breaching their trust. They need to patch things up after the betrayal.

7 Fans Want Invincible Season 3 to Show Thraxan Closure

Invincible's second season had Nolan being taken captive after ruling Thraxa. Sadly, his second wife, Andressa, admitted her fast lifespan would ensure she'd die by the time he ever visited. That is, if he escaped. The comics didn't focus on this return to Thraxa, however, instead having Nolan mend fences with Debbie.

Fans, however, want to see more compassion from Nolan by checking up on Thraxa at some point. The planet and its aliens helped him heal after he left Mark and Debbie. Andressa also gave him a sense of family. The least he can do in Invincible Season 3 is visit, show appreciation, get closure over Andressa, and assure them the Viltrumites won't attack again.

6 Fans Want Invincible Season 3 to Show Oliver's Training

Invincible's Most Brutal Scene Has Zero Punches
While the two seasons of Prime Video's Invincible had many horrific sequences, the one that felt most soul-crushing didn't even have a punch thrown.

Season 2 had Oliver growing up quickly. He didn't do so as quickly in the comics, however. Fans are hoping Oliver ages faster, so he can begin training. Mark needed him to help fight crime and to prepare for the Viltrumite invasion.

Cecil was also wary of the boy going off the rails. Season 3 can affirm if Oliver has Nolan's darkness or Mark's humanity. This training arc would bring Debbie into play too, as she wouldn't want her stepson becoming a monster. This will help Mark mature and realize what being a trainer entails.

5 Fans Want Invincible Season 3 to Build on Rex & Eve's Friendship

The Invincible animated series made another big change by having Rex and Atom Eve move from ex-lovers to friends who have each other's backs. Rex has offered her romantic advice, while Eve was trying to help Rex return to duty. Fans would like Season 3 to see Rex and Eve continue down the platonic road.

The comics didn't do this as much, but the show has a chance to show how healthy bonds can form after relationships break down. Eve needs help figuring out whether or not to pursue a relationship with Mark, while Rex could use her wisdom to regain his superhero confidence. They know each other well, so the series can capitalize on this.

4 Fans Are Eager For Invincible Season 3 to Show the Immortal's Wedding

Invincible's Immortal leads the heroes against Omnipotus

The source material had the Immortal and Dupli-Kate rushing into a marriage, only for her to get killed fighting the Lizard League. The show has omitted the wedding, but it followed the comics with Kate revealing to the Immortal that her original self is alive. She is hiding out, scared of returning to the field.

Fans want the animated series to build on this change from the comics. The show can add substance, giving the Immortal and Dupli-Kate a proper wedding, and having them chart a life away from the superhero career. Most of Invincible's heroes are young, so this wedding can act as a statement to remind people like Mark, Eve, Rex and others that there is happiness outside the job.

3 Fans Hope Invincible Season 3 Will Give Donald a Bigger Role

Is Invincible Stronger Than Omni-Man?
Prime Video's Invincible has yet to confirm who is stronger between Mark Grayson and Omni-Man, but the Robert Kirkman comics already have the answer.

Donald is Cecil's right-hand man. Season 2 confirmed that every time he died, he was brought back as a droid -- something he gave Cecil permission for. Notably, Donald is trying to help Rick deal with half his body being a machine after Sinclair's Reanimen terrorist arc. Viewers are eager to see Season 3 follow up on this and have Donald being more of a mentor to Rick.

The comics kept Donald in the peripheral, but he is now positioned to heal Rick. He can show that Cecil's projects, the manipulation of employees, and that unbridled loyalty might not be best for business. Donald standing up to Cecil and realizing he shouldn't have signed over his body would speak to things like the military and how some soldiers are so conditioned, they don't know their judgment is clouded.

2 Fans Are Keen For Invincible Season 3 To Have More Nolan & Allen

Anissa and Allen prepare to fight in Invincible

Invincible creator Robert Kirkman said Season 2 would have more Nolan and Allen team-ups. But this only came in the final episode when both were held captive. Still, the cartoon has positioned them to have a bigger friendship than the comics, with Nolan admitting to Allen he misses his wife. Of course, it's not confirmed if it's Debbie or Andressa.

This is perfect grounds to add more meat to Nolan and Allen's bond. The comics had them breaking out and becoming colleagues. However, it felt run-of-the-mill. If the show gives Nolan and Allen more brotherhood moments -- whether it's fighting in the field or honest chats -- it would explain why they became so close in the Coalition.

1 Fans Want Invincible Season 3 to Show the Royal Bloodline

Omni-Man tells Invincible that Debbie Grayson is a pet

The Invincible comics had a Game of Thrones arc unfold that revealed there was more to the Viltrumite throne. It involved a royal bloodline that descended from Argall. It also revealed key secrets involving Mark and Nolan.

Season 3 has to dive into this more to illustrate why Viltrumites like Anissa may not be into war as much and why Thaedus himself had to defect. The royal bloodline had a lot to do with why the empire was split for some time, which started a chain of events that led to Nolan being stationed on Earth. Ultimately, there is a lot of hidden information and Season 3 is the perfect place to kickstart things regarding the throne.

Both seasons of Invincible are available on Prime Video.
