Restaurants in Alsace traditionally have a formal main dining room as well as a casual dining room known locally as a weinstube or brasserie. At the brasserie, diners may enjoy traditional, hearty Alsatian dishes in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. These friendly establishments are immensely popular with Alsatians and visiting them is always the best part of my trips back to Alsace. I opened Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez François to bring the tastes and comforts of the Alsatian brasserie to Great Falls.

    Another superb meal at Jacques' Brasserie! Had all my favorites, including escargots, the mesclun salad, the trout filets, and Grand Marnier souffle, while my husband enjoyed all of those and the medium rare steak special. Enjoyed, as always, the ability to converse easily in a quiet French bistro atmosphere.

    As always, a phenomenal experience! From the second you walk through Chef Jaques doors, you are greeted with 5 star white glove level service. The food, attention to detail, and overall experience is a reminder that some authentically 5star restaurants are still out there and ready to wisk you away on a culinary journey. Allow approximately 1.2- 2 hours for dinner…it is WORTH it! Until next time, Justin & Gene Shull

    Haven’t been to the brasserie in a while. Went there to celebrate a friend‘s birthday on a Sunday night. It was only moderately busy. Our waiter was friendly but the infrequency of his check-in’s along with the extended wait for food to arrive took away from the celebration. On top of that, I ordered the salmon medium rare, but it came out medium, and I had to send it back. No apology nor accommodation was offered. All in all a very disappointing experience.

    First time here since moving to VA 7 years ago. Without a doubt this is the best restaurant we’ve been to and we frequent fine dining often. Beet salad, veal scallopini, soufflé and everything was better than expected.

    We love dining at Jacques and come at least once a month. Yesterday was a lot busier than normal for a weeknight so we had to wait a bit for service. I ordered the grilled liver which I liked the last time I had. Yesterday, the sauce was very salty so I just pushed the liver to the side and ate it dry. I have to assume that it was a one-time miss maybe because of new staff or kitchen too busy. But no big deal, we’ll be back, as always.

    We had a wonderful anniversary dinner which was made extra special by our excellent waiter, Mohammed. Jacques is a place we have celebrated many special occasions over the years. We always know we will get a great meal and be greeted by long time employees.
