The Pia Bella Hotel occupies an enviable location in Kyrenia, not in the town centre but just a brief walk from the historic harbour with its wide range of shops, bars and restaurants. Set on a 15,000 square meter site amid spacious, tranquil gardens, the Pia Bella prides itself on its highly professional staff and exceptional standards of service. All 250 guest rooms are comfortable furnished, with all mod cons. Hotel facilities include two sizeable outdoor swimming pools one with pool bar, Cafe Bella, plus indoor and terrace restaurants.

Stayed in Kyrenia 4 year's ago, saw this hotel and vowed to return and stay. We were not dissapointed, hotel clean and staff very welcoming from management down to cleaners from day one they couldn't do enough for you, especially when my wife was taken ill the hotel staff went beyond their duties to help and support us. So much choice for both breakfast and evening meal we never went hungry, also great deal on evening meal, 5 meals for 300 TL which you can have when ever you want. Fantastic location, local taxis and bus stop right opposite hotel, easy walking distance to center and harbour approx 15-20 minutes. Many coffee shop's and restaurant's within 5 minute walk. Would definitely come again.

Just returned from a week at the hotel, stayed in room 1303. The room was really nice, cleaned daily with fresh towels as required. Slept really well in the comfortable bed. The bathroom was impressive with a very good shower. There was a mini bar and safe in the room, prices for the mini bar were ok and not too expensive.
We stayed on bed and breakfast and found breakfast to cater for most tastes, a good selection of foods available.
The bar was also very nice, the prices were very reasonable and they ran a happy hour with reduced bar prices.
The best point of the hotel is the staff, everybody that we spoke to were really friendly and eager to help.
We stayed in a room on the front of the hotel, it is on a busy road and there is some road noise. It did not bother us but I would imagine that it could disturb a light sleeper.
All in this is an excellent hotel, I really enjoyed my stay here, I would recommend it to others and if i travel to Kyrenia again I will stay here.

Great location for walking into town centre. All of the staff at this hotel are so helpful and friendly and all go out of their way to ensure your holiday is trouble free. We had a broken seat on our balcony which was exchanged within 5 mins of speaking to reception. Plenty of choice for breakfast and omelettes are made fresh for you with your choice of filling by the chef. The hotel rooms are really spacious and we had a lovely balcony overlooking the smaller pool which got sunshine for most of the day. In the bathroom there was a brilliant rainfall shower that had great water pressure and lots of hot water. Toiletries are also provided. The hotel was quiet when I visited and no problems finding a sun bed at either of the two pools. There is more accommodation currently being built on the original car park and this might impact on the amount of guests trying to find a sunbed at the height of the season. The hotel has a lovely garden situated behind the main building with an outside bar which was open during the day with plenty seating and lovely decorative lighting. There was no entertainment on at night at the moment and only the indoor bar was open at night but plenty of places nearby if you want to venture out at night for food and drinks.

Having read some previous reviews I had not set my sights high, however from the moment I arrived until I departed this hotel excelled in every area, my accommodation was spotless, certainly very well equipped and spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool.
Room service 24/7
Housekeeping discreet and very efficient, Laundry service quick and extremely well priced
Food breakfast was good with a great choice of fresh products
Didn’t do any other meals as there was some excellent restaurants nearby.
The customer service offered here would put many higher priced and starred hotels to shame, no request was ever ignored and no advice was given with anything but good grace, I will return and it will be soon, in summary this hotel deserves a visit by anyone who wants to experience first class service and possibly the warmest welcome you could get anywhere.
If only every hotel valued their customers as this hotel clearly does.

Decided to go back to this great hotel for a few nights to celebrate the wife’s birthday as we did last year and on quiet a few other occasions. We were told that there was no availability on the day previous to her birthday but decided to call in on this day as we were having a 2 night stopover and didn’t fancy moving. What a good idea. Not only did they get 2 rooms for us and our friends but ours was a superior room with views over the gardens and pools. As usual ALL the staff were very friendly and attentive. I was prepared to take the wife out for a special night on her birthday but she was very happy to go for the evening buffet again which speaks volumes for the quality. A few minor downsides to my review however.
1. When we were told that we had rooms for the two days we all ordered cheeseburgers and chips for a lunchtime snack whilst waiting on our rooms to be cleaned. The actual meat in the burger was poor quality and so thin it made a Big Mac look good. We would happily have paid more for something of more substance and quality
2. The ham for the breakfast omelette was of a very poor quality and to be honest made ours inedible.
3. The ala-carte menu seemed to us to be very limited.
4. There are none. We can’t wait to get back to the other side and spend more time in a lovely hotel.

Having holidayed at this hotel on and off for over 25 years with various friends and family members, we have seen a number of changes but still had a little very time.

Our review won’t be for everyone, so to provide some context, we like small and friendly hotels as opposed to big resorts, we never book all inclusive to avoid a drink culture. Sounds picky, but I won’t stay in places with white plastic furniture or beer branded umbrellas. So this review is based on our preferences alone.

Starting with the good: the staff as always are simply fantastic, they can not do enough to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms are clean and perfectly adequate, there are always enough sun-loungers at the pool and the pool facilities, such as toilets are well kept. The hotel is excellent value for money, the policies are extremely fair, for example we always bring our own water into the room. You are never taken advantage of, the safe is free as are the pool towels. The drinks and food are really well priced, the lunches are good! The hotel operate as a family, drawing you in as a guest.

There is a large new block bring built to provide a more luxurious stay, but it didn’t effect our stay at all. Hopefully the hotel will be able to maintain its small and friendly feel.

My only criticisms are the evening meals weren’t great in terms of setting, quality and choice, so we are out almost every night even though we were half board. An evening dress code seems to be a thing of the past, with diners in the evening wearing just shorts, bare chested. But on the flip side we dined in the al a carte, which was amazing! We just didn’t know about it. The disco night has been spinning the same tunes for 25 years, it’s too loud and vibrates through the bedrooms, not ideal with younger children, some of the entertainment doesn’t make you want to stay in the hotel of an evening.

My recommendations, if you want a more luxurious stay for guests. Go back to alfresco dining, possibly with waiter service, provide robes, have an evening dress code, have great bedding and pillows. This small point, but coasters for drinks. Invest in quality entertainment that doesn’t overpower conversation. While the bedrooms are good, they are badly designed, mirrors are too high so you can’t sit and do your hair, there are no full length mirrors. Our daughters bed was directly under the air con and was particularly uncomfortable, so she ended up sleeping in our bed all holiday.

This is just our opinion, but what was once a charming little family resort, hidden gem, is evolving but there are some quick wins that means it won’t lose its charm. The management and staff work incredibly hard and always put the guest first, nothing is too much trouble.

Firstly, we arrived at 11pm after a very long wait to get through the border from the South. The meal provided was, in my opinion, inedible so I fed it to the cat before it was shooed away. My room was spacious and the best thing I can say about it was the fantastic shower in the very big bathroom plus a normal sized fridge (not a mini bar as you usually get). The room had 2 single beds and I asked twice for them to be made up as one large bed but never was. The pillows were very lumpy! One day, my room was not cleaned. Unfortunately, my balcony overlooked the construction of their new extension and this is my main complaint as my travel company should have informed me as it's been going on for about 2 years. The noise during the day completely spoiled any time by the larger pool, set in beautiful gardens. I agree with another reviewer that the main hotel has been neglected with basic maintenance. The staff were friendly but I think a lot were new (probably because they made a lot redundant during the last 2 years of Covid) and not trained. For example, one did not know how to make coffee and had to call for assistance. Although I booked half board, I only had one breakfast and about 3 dinners, as the food was not good and the coffee at breakfast was dire, so I purchased coffee from the pool bar instead. This could be a lovely hotel but I would not recommend a stay until the extension has been completed. There is a very good therapist called Linda, who I would recommend for massage. Kyrenia is a sweet little town with a lovely harbour only about a 20 minute walk away. I would recommend a boat trip which was only about £25 for 4 hours.

This was our third visit the the Pia Bella. Du to flight delays we arrived in the early hours of Saturday morning. Check in was quick as you would expect at that time and we were shown to our room which was spacious and comfortable.
In the morning we looked out of our window to see a new part of the hotel being built which was about 6 storeys tall and comprised another 80 odd rooms.
During the weekend there was no noise from the site and we quickly relaxed and enjoyed the sunshine laying around the bigger pool, however on Monday at around 7.30 a.m. the construction work started which went on till around 6 p.m. It was the same on Tuesday and the noise was pretty bad so we asked to be moved.
Within an hour we were moved to the main hotel block and given an upgraded room.
There were no arguments at all and we were very happy to have received such great service.
Apart from that everything was as we remembered it from previous visits.
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, but if you want an evening meal you just book before 2p.m. that day. The food is fairly traditional Turkish so if you want Pie and chips this is not the place to come.
But there are numerous restaurants to try especially around the harbour, and as the exchange rate is so good at the moment they are all great value
The hotel staff are the most welcoming, happy and friendly people you could ever wish to meet and cannot do enough for you.
Will we return ? absolutely !

We arrived at 23:30 on a Saturday, very busy outside with cars and people due to the hotel's Casino next door. Greeted by the night porter who spoke very good English, he checked us in and asked if we would like soup or a sandwich which we declined and opted for a drink instead. There was no one else in the "lounge" it was very tired looking and in desperate need of refurbishing,

Rooms were fine, nice view of the small pool, excellent bathroom as previously mentioned in reviews. Breakfast was fine, eggs cooked whichever way you liked unfortunately you couldn't say the same for dinner. The first few nights the hotel was quite busy, (by no means full) and the choice of food was good but this seemed to deteriorate as the days went on. Lot's of fresh salad, very limited mains and desserts. Most of the staff were friendly but didn't think they went the extra mile to accommodate you.

The building work at the new wing was a problem, I had read about this prior to travelling and contacted our tour operator to ask if it would affect us, we were told that we would be allocated rooms away from the work and there would be no inconvenience to us. The small pool had limited sun beds and were reserved pretty early, the larger pool was directly in front of new building so you had the noise from 7:15 onward during the week until quite late.

This holiday was a long time coming, it had been re-booked a number of times due to Covid, but unfortunately it wasn't what we would consider to be a four star hotel and were quite disappointed, we won't be returning.

The main building is in need of refurbishment but more importantly the building of a new 90 bed unit at rear will put pressure on facilities which are inadequate now. My room was in what is termed Block 3 beside the rear swimming pool (which is lovely) but my tiny balcony looked straight at wall of new building and had no sun. When the new rooms are completed their balconies will look straight into those of Block 3. Plenty of sunbeds around the pools at present but with another 90 guests there is simply not enough room to accommodate them. The pictures of pool areas give impression of a far more "green and pleasant" scene than it actually is and again the space cannot cope with more guests. As the hotel is in a densely populated area there is no room to expand at ground level so this can be the only area used for outdoor sitting unless the outdoor bar is removed.
The beds are very hard and the pillows lumpy.
The food is poor. The salad bar is good but hot food is of poor quality, unimaginative and repetitive. Desserts are very uninviting. The only plus at breakfast is the cooked to order eggs - the rest is same every day and unappealing even to look at.
The bar and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful but I cannot say the same about reception. You are treated as a nuisance even if asking for access to the room safe for which there is a charge.
I would definitely not stay there again

Diana Beach is about the nearest one Ozankoy district you will need a car i gave put some beach visits we have done see profile Grine is busy but once your away from there the traffic dies away extract from my profile Off the main road turn right at the large supermarket sah and continue down the side road that leads to a large dust track road after a few hundred yards signed on some trees Diana Beach continue round you will notice a gated area go through this and the dust track drops down to the car park beach area. Sun beds here cheap and the beach is Sandy set in a small cove the sea entrance is ok has well. Small facilities here drinks and snacks toilets and external shower changing rooms etc all this included in the sun bed admission. Paul

To be fair its not disturbing at the moment but maybe in the summer although we spoke to the Manager and he was keen to disrupt as little as possible. I think the first thing to open will be a new restaurant.
