Thank you for considering Aiglon College. Our school fees are comprised of three parts: annual tuition fees, one-time fees (payable upon joining the school) and additional charges based on individual circumstances. This booklet provides all the information you need to financially plan for an Aiglon education. Please note that the tuition fees and other charges are updated annually. The latest information is reflected in this booklet.

The annual tuition fees are payable in full by 15 June each year. All amounts in this document are listed in Swiss Francs (CHF).

Sibling Tuition Reduction

Beginning in September, Aiglon offers a 5% sibling discount for second and subsequent children who are simultaneously enrolled. The discount will always be applied to the younger child's fee.

Registration Fee

The one-time, non-refundable registration fee is payable when an application is submitted.

Enrolment Deposit

The deposit reserves a student's place and is payable after receiving an acceptance offer. The deposit is only refunded after the student leaves Aiglon and the account is settled, but not before September of the following academic year. See the Financial Conditions for more details.

Scholarship & Development Fund

This charge is included on the first invoice. This fund supports Aiglon's long-standing scholarship programme to provide need-based financial assistance to students.

Alumni Programmes Fee

This charge is included on the first invoice. The student is then granted full life-time access to Aiglon's alumni programmes and initiatives around the world.

Initial Clothing Charge

This charge is included on the first invoice. This charge covers standard school clothing requirements including the uniform. This charge does not apply to day students.

Health Insurance

Health insurance is compulsory in Switzerland and is included in the boarding tuition fee. The school's student insurance coverage is through SWICA. Full coverage information and other policy details are available through the online admissions portal or from the Finance Office. Day students are not included on school health insurance; parents must submit proof of coverage to the school.

Pocket Money

Pocket money is charged in advance with the fees for Years 5-8.

Vat

VAT is chargeable on the school account. All amounts include Swiss VAT at the appropriate prevailing rates. Details of rates and amounts charged are on the invoices.

Late Payment

In case of late payment of tuition fees or miscellaneous items, Aiglon reserves the right to charge 1% per month interest. When tuition fees are unpaid, the student may not be allowed to return to the school until the outstanding balance has been paid.

Term Dates

For the purposes of this agreement term dates are; Autumn: 1 August to 31 December, Winter: 1 January to 31 March, Summer: 1 April to 31 July.

Notes on fees and charges

What do tuition fees include for all students

  • Class tuition.
  • Public examination fees and invigilation costs School day meals.
  • Expedition, activities, PE and sport programme Cultural long expedition programme.
  • Text book loans and general class materials Expedition equipment and ski locker Pastoral and tutoring programmes.
  • Access to the Health Centre School trip travel insurance.
  • Stationery items allowance (up to CHF 300) Yearbook.
  • Year 11 Futurewise Careers Tests.

What do tuition fees include for boarders

The below are not included for day students.

  • Accommodation and all meals.
  • Residence tax.

Annual Tuition Fees

  • Payment of the tuition fees for the upcoming academic year is due by 15 June. A student's place may be forfeit if tuition fees are not received by the required date.
  • Tuition fees are reviewed each year by the Board of Directors. In exceptional circumstances, fees may be subject to an interim review.

Enrolment of a New Student

  • After receiving an enrolment offer, a student's place is only reserved upon payment of the enrolment deposit. The enrolment deposit is returned after a student leaves the school, provided the student account has been fully settled.
  • In the event that a new student's enrolment is cancelled in writing before 15 June, paid tuition fees (excluding the deposit) will be reimbursed in full. After 15 June, tuition fees for the autumn term are due even in the event of cancellation.
  • In case of late enrolment, tuition fees for the remaining part of the academic year are due within 15 days upon receipt of the invoice and must be paid before joining. In case of withdrawal or cancellation, the tuition fees are not refundable.

Re-enrolment

  • Current students must be invited by the school to re-enrol in January of each year.
  • Notification of a student's departure for the following academic year must be provided in writing to the Director of Admissions & Marketing. Notification after the deadline, 15 February, is considered a withdrawal and subject to the relevant terms.
  • By re-enrolling you accept the school's financial conditions for the next academic year.

Absence From School

Tuition fees are not reimbursed when schooling is missed, for sickness, injury or any other reasons. Those concerned should take out insurance to cover the tuition fees.
