Tyler Legacy High School Reviews
Rating 3.57 out of 5 354 reviews
As a teacher here the last two years, I must say this place is truly amazing. I loved my time time here, the administration is second to none. Mr. Sherman, the principal and his administrators are the hardest working, most supportive admin I have ever had. They care about kids, and use "what is best for kids" as a litmus test to every decision. The staff is friendly and the CILT leaders are on top of their stuff. This campus is the best run public high school I have ever served. Teachers consider yourself extremely fortunate if you land a job here.
The pressure to excel academically and participate in multiple extracurricular activities can be overwhelming. The competitive environment can sometimes lead to high levels of stress among students. Expanding the curriculum to include more diverse subjects and electives that reflect a wider range of interests and career paths.
The best parts of my time here at legacy have been building relationships with the the students and staff. Also, I have loved every moment of every sport that I have been a part of. I’ve built so many friendships from them, and I’ve learned so many life lessons from the mini teachings that the coaches have given to the players. there’s not too many changes I would make the title Legacy. I think it’s a great school my four years of going here and I think it’s only gonna get better. It provides great opportunities and career pathways for the students with tons of possibilities based around student success, which I find to be great.
