The Portugal Euro 2024 squad has been announced, with Roberto Martinez opting to finalise his 26 ahead of the tournament in Germany.
The 2016 European champions travel to Euro 2024 among the favourites, with Roberto Martinez taking over from Euro 2016-winning coach Fernando Santos in the dugout, while Cristiano Ronaldo is set to appear in his sixth European Championship. The Spanish manager will be hoping to achieve what he couldn't as Belgium boss and win a major tournament, while Ronaldo will want to add a second international honour.
Elsewhere, the Portugal Euro 2024 squad contains great talent. With Joao Cancelo and Ruben Dias in defence, Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes and Joao Palhinha in midfield, and an array of attacking talent with Diogo Jota, Raphael Leao and Joao Felix, there's a real chance Portugal could replicate their heroics from eight years ago.
Portugal will firstly want to get through the Euro 2024 groups without too many issues - something they'll be confident of, considering they've got to face Turkey, the Czech Republic and first-time qualifiers Georgia in Group F.

Martinez's second international managerial job, the Spaniard will want to step over that line into success that he never quite achieved with Belgium. While he led them to third at World Cup 2018, the Belgium 'Golden Generation' ultimately failed in their overarching goal - something Martinez won't want a repeat of with this talented Portugal Euro 2024 squad.
The former Everton, Wigan Athletic and Swansea City boss did manage a 100 per cent record in qualifying, with eight wins from eight, conceding just twice. A 2-0 defeat to Slovenia in the March friendlies means there's still plenty of work to do, however.

Now 39, the Al-Nassr forward will be competing in his 10th major finals for Portugal - a phenomenal achievement, further exacerbated by the fact he is the all-time leading international goalscorer and appearance maker in men's football.

Portugal have played in deep crimson for a generation. The combination of the malbec-esque shade with green and gold has been a staple of international tournaments in the 21st Century – so this is a switch-up. The tone is very light, black is used as a secondary colour and the logos are white.
This is the most blue we can remember on a Portugal shirt since 1998's navy sleeves – and this is a completely different shade. Nike are signing off on something completely brand new.
How many players are Portugal allowed to take to Euro 2024?
The Portugal Euro 2024 squad will feature 26 players, with UEFA having recently announced that it will stick with enlarged teams for the European Championships. Initially, UEFA wanted to reduce squads back to 23 players, but kickback from teams meant it reneged on that idea.
