I noticed that I can't find the original Flushed away anywhere, all i can find is the version without the two rat butlers and was thinking if anyone here knows anything

I watched the film in cinemas when it came out and don't remember these characters at all, in fact they feel very out of place. If this is an alternate cut it would be sick if it resurfaced later on, it must have been a pretty late decision to cut them out.
Yeah, i do remember them in some pirated DVDS tho that actually came out before the cinema release
It might have something to do with where the source of the pirated dvds was from. Sometimes nternational markets get an alternative cut or other times a scene or two gets cut in the US release. I remember getting a bootleg DVD of son of the mask with spanish subtitles that had two scenes that weren't in the movie when I went to see it in theaters.

I know this was 6 months ago but when I was like 4 my "dad" gave me a big bag of movies and one was what seems to be a bootleg copy of the movie with the title "flushed away 2" but it had the hamsters. I never actually kept the movie because I was scared of Sid. If anyone tracks down a bootleg copy I'm sure it would have the cut.

About once a year for like a couple of nights I'll try search for anything new for this piece of media, just whenever it crosses my my mind.
I'm starting to doubt myself lately, but it would be pretty sick to find this pre-release version (im not sure if its real or not)
This might have been 9 months ago, but in the ps2 game of Flushed Away, it includes the hamster butlers in the first part of the game. That means the hamsters were removed late from the flim.
Update: Gilbert and Sullivan (the name of the hamsters) are also in the Flushed Away Game Boy Advanced

How many copies of the early pirated flushed away DVD's do you think have been made? Also, maybe these DVD's might be located at thrift shops so maybe the cover or the DVD might be strange.
I'm not really sure how many copies could have been made, likely a lot since they even reached third world countries, its not uncommon for these kind of pirated DVDs to just have a A4 with the movie poster or dvd cover printed on them then put inside a small plastic bag, some people straight up just wrote the name in a blank A4 or straight onto the disc before putting in plastic bags too, however I'm guessing once the actual DVD or even the movie was screened, the pirates would have moved on from this Early version, thus the scarcity
I have no idea if this was an actual cut of the movie but my guess is those are scenes that made it in the trailer but not the final cut of the movie
I do believe it was a cut of the movie, but it got replaced later on and the original version is no longer available, the trailer was found in a over the hedge DVD
