Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Nicola C3 contributionsA lovely walk! You can walk from here to Birling Gap , will be a few hours. If you walk down to the beach here, there is a lighthouse. Really enjoyed it and quite exhilarating, lovely views of the sea and the Seven Sisters.Written 28 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nicola C3 contributionsWe went on a sunny weekend in May! It was a lovely place and you could see the Seven Sisters. There are steps down to the beach and you can park at the National Trust car park. There is a cafe and there are toilet facilities there, but there are certain open times, so check if you were going early evening as maybe closed.Written 28 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SussexWalkerEast Grinstead, UK37 contributionsWhat’s not to like! Reasonable entrance fee, plenty to see and do, clean and well looked after grounds and buildings, food at sensible prices, smiley and helpful staff. A great day out.Written 31 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Pam Munday-Chanin86 contributionsThe burlesque experience of 26.5.24 was truly wondrous in a wonderful environment The usherettes are lovely and the ladies within the performance were absolutely inspirational ALL beautiful and so modest.I think burlesque is an art form ,the ladies reinforced my belief.WELL done everyone.Written 26 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - catherine237Antwerp, Belgium22 contributionsExcellent marina, accessible 24/7. Very friendly and professional staff. Spacious berthing places and DIY fuel-pontoon. Nice and calm atmosphere. The 24/7 accesibility comes with some nocturnal marine activities, but that's all just part of the atmosphere, and never disturbing. Ideal stop over after or before crossing the channel. Nice choice of restaurants in the close surroundings, as well as an excellent supermarket just a few minutes' walk away.Written 28 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - chrissieb94Dorset, UK3,074 contributionsIt was lovely to walk along the promenade on a beautifully sunny day in October. There are different levels to walk - beach level, street level and one in between. Beautifully maintained flower bed border the walkways. There are a number of cafes and a bandstand (which did have a concert on one evening).Written 30 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
