We offer Infrastructure as a service for our product so basically we offer our application in various cloud like AWS, Azure, GCP as per customer requirements. So, we were looking for a solution which is not cloud dependent, using a AWS load balancer for our infra which is mostly deployed on Azure is not something our Azure customer liked. So, we found the solution for using load balancing usinf Kemp Load balancer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The SSL Certificate integration with Azure Government Cloud is a bit tricky as Azure do not provide managed SSL certificate on Government Cloud. If Kemp LoadMaster provide an unified way for SSL, that would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Kemp LoadMaster has helped us better manage our application and software updates by keeping our application online 24/7. We can take one Windows server offline to be updated while the other server is online and Kemp LoadMaster knows to automatically switch over to the server that is online. It also has been a big help in managing performance between our two servers so if one is too busy, it connects to the second one. Kemp LoadMaster was easy to implement. Was up and running very quickly. We haven't had to place very many support tickets. Only a few questions. Customer Support was great. They answered our customers right away. High Reliability and Availability:
Kemp LoadMaster excels in maintaining uptime for applications, even during peak traffic. Its advanced algorithms distribute incoming requests across multiple servers, preventing overloads and ensuring seamless failover. With Kemp's application-centric approach, it becomes effortless to manage and optimize application traffic.
Easy-to-Use Interface:
The intuitive web-based management interface is a standout feature of Kemp LoadMaster. Even for those with limited networking expertise, configuring virtual services and managing SSL certificates is straightforward. The well-organized dashboard provides quick access to essential performance metrics and status updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Learning Curve:
While the web-based interface is user-friendly, some users may find it challenging to set up advanced configurations or troubleshoot complex issues. Kemp LoadMaster's documentation could be more comprehensive to assist users in navigating through the intricacies of the system.
Licensing Complexity:
Depending on the edition and features required, Kemp LoadMaster's licensing can become somewhat convoluted. This complexity may lead to confusion during the purchasing process, potentially resulting in unintended feature limitations or higher costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kemp Loadmaster is a flexible, solid and reliable system I've known. The customer service supports are tremendous and I would recommend getting good support maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kemp is pricey compare with other load balancer, but you get what you pay for. Also, this is not for newbies who don't know how networking or loadbalancing works. However, they have dedicated support that will help you from start to finish. In short, I can't find reason to dislike them :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They are easy to configure and manage. Never had any issues managing them, no training is needed. Support team is super responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their subscription model perhaps. They only allow certain features on Enterprise plus subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The support that you get with it when you need help is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I don't like about KEMP is the UI of it as it seems very simplistic. Could be nice to have some control over that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The LoadMaster makes it so easy to scale out our applications. Just a few entries and you can double your throughput. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't think of anything that I don't like. The documentation is superb, and if you need help, support staff know what they are talking about! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've used Kemp products for years. They are solid platforms that do exactly what we require them to do in load-balancing our traffic. They just work.
Their support team is also top-notch. The very few configuration issues we've run into, they've been able to take care of the same day. They are outstanding and knowledgeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been Kemp customers for about six years. I can't say in that time that we've ever had any significant issues with the product, the sales team or product support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
its ease of use and simple deployment. It has a user-friendly interface and can be configured quickly and easily, which can save time and resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kemp LoadMaster is a bit higher than other load-balancing solutions in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are templates for almost anything you'd ever want to use it for. In our case, load-balancing between two Exchange 2013 servers. It was MUCH easier than setting up our old Barracuda, The Kemp LoadMaster hasn't given us a single problem in the year that we've had it. It really has been "set it and forget it." The real-time statistics page isn't as informative as I would like. The CPU utilization graphs are separate lines for each possible thing that takes up CPU, rather than a single line with color-coded designations for the different components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of deploying the load balancers and getting them setup.
The ease of management/administration. For the most part they are fire and forget. We set them up, and don't have to check on them again unless we have a problem, need to update them, or have to add additional instances to them.
Their support team went above and beyond in helping us get everything setup for the first time and working with us and our vendor to make our first cluster work. Their support was much more like training than just a tech trying to close out a ticket.
Any issue we have had, with either setting up a new instance or applying updates, support has been readily available to assist until we are satisfied that everything is working as intended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest thing we don't like is that we can not setup an automated process that look into a webpage and fail over one of the servers in the cluster. This is with kemp and the vendor of the software. I am sure that eventually we will be able to make this work.
We haven't found much that we dislike to be honest. They really just simply work for what we need and one less thing that myself or my team has to actively manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kemp LoadMaster ensures that we can easily work with multiple forwarding rules having the same IP addresses. It offers configurable health checks for all our ports, intervals, timeouts and all our defined healthy & unhealthy thresholds. It also provides protocols such as TCP, UDP, ESP, ICMP or WebSockets from its load balancer to our backend services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing much about Kemp LoadMaster which can be stated under the dislike section. It's doing great for us since load balancing is an integral part of our application stack & it gives us the convenience to automate our deployments without worrying about failovers. With its CloudFormation templates, we can deploy custom applications for our clients and Kemp takes care of its integration & delivery pipelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Kemp VLM-MAX is a highly effective appliance. We have been using Kemp for nearly a decade and have had no issues. We migrated from the physical box to the virtual one with no problems. We can always count on Kemp! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI looks very dated. It could use an overhaul to bring the user interface up to speed with the product. Navigating the UI is not an issue; I just think it would look nice to have it updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Kemp Load Balancers are easy to use, perform very well, and have been quite reliable. Product feature documentation is also quite good for various application support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing specifically. They work well for us with no issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Loadmaster is a full-featured product that can do so much. I am using it for features lost when Forefront TMG was discontinued, application firewall and load balancing. Deployment was fast and simple as a virtual appliance. Support is excellent and has an incredibly quick response time. I have often received a response within minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only problem I have seen with Loadmaster is that there is a learning curve. The product is very complex due to the wide range of capabilities but support is great at helping navigate the setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kemp Loadmaster has been very beneficial to our company. It has allowed us ease of use when it comes to splitting the load between production servers. It has a very intuitive interface and easy-to-read logs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are not many downsides to the Kemp LoadMaster. The user interface could use an upgrade but it is easy to use as is with self explanatory menu options. Not much to dislike about a product that just works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The product always runs and Support always has the answer when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
N/A There is nothing to dislike about the LoadMaster product line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. The Kemp interface is very streamlined and easy to work with.
2. The product is extremely powerful and is easily the best enterprise-class virtual load balancer I've worked with.
3. The online and community documentation is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing that comes to mind would be better support for a Nutanix AHV OVA solution. The Nutanix OVA required a call to support to deploy properly. Otherwise it is a very solid product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use, easy to deploy for Load Balancer, reverse proxy, and web application firewall for Cloud (Azure) and on-prem (VMware vSphere) environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
License inter-change between products sometimes is not straight forward and the account manager is easy very to mix up your contract/orders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
loads of features, expert support, and ease of use make Kemp a great load balancer to use in your infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Once in the many times contacting support, I have had a support agent not understand the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
