Detailed Reviews
I recently visited Hotel Paradies with my dad to see the MotoGP in Speilberg. When we arrived in Graz we went to the tourist information to ask ho to get to the hotel. The lady there recommended the bus and told us where to catch it. We took the bus and luckily the stops are clearly announced on the screen. We got off at the correct stop. It is a further five minute walk up to the hotel. There is no pedestrian pathway so you need to be careful.
The checking in process was quick and easy. The hotel has an elevator which took us to our room on the 3rd floor. We had a room with a balcony which had lovely forest views. The room was clean and the room facilities were good. The room has a vintage feel and perhaps could be doing with being updated but I think that's what gives it some charm. There are bizarre mirrors on the roof which allows you to see the other single twin bed from yours. Which was slightly weird considering I was sharing with my dad. There is no air conditioning at the hotel and the room was very hot at times, especially through the night, but the staff provided a fan to try and cool it down.
We tried the food at the restaurant the first night which was not that good in my opinion. I had the spaghetti carbonara which was covered in spring onions/chives which gave it a horrific taste. My dad has the steak which he enjoyed tremendously. Breakfast was served at 6.30am which was ideal for going to the MotoGP as we had a very early start. I am not very fond of continental breakfasts but for those who are there is a good selection of items to choose from. The dining room was not too busy and I think there is the option to sit outside on the terrace which I am sure was lovely.
I have to mention that the staff were very friendly. Especially Barbara who went above and beyond her duty to help us. I don't think our trip would have gone so smoothly without her.
We were just passing through Graz and spent very little time in the hotel so did not see the sauna, outdoor pool or fitness centre. But going by everything else we saw, I am sure these would be worth a visit.
If you are travelling to the MotoGP next year, I would recommend this hotel if you are driving as there is ample parking. If you are taking public transport, it takes slightly more coordination with being outside the city. If you are visiting this hotel purely for leisure then I am sure you will enjoy your stay.

Quiet hotel in the suburbs of the city. Reasonable pubs/eateries within walking distance and a good restaurant on site . The Hotel is off the main road, so there's no smog or traffic noise, It has a free car park or bus stops in both directions at the bottom of the driveway (which is not extremely pretty due to an abandoned building and a carwash). Our room on the side of the hotel looked on to a field and forest Immaculate, spacious rooms with lots of storage etc. Reasonable wi-fi signal in room. Courtesy bowl of fruit on our arrival. Kind, helpful reception staff and good gym facilities. Pity the pool ws an outdoor one and rather cold to use it. The hotel includes a tennis school with 9 courts, and part of the breakfast room overlooking them, so we could watch people playing/training first thing. The hotel also houses a Schwarzenegger museum, strategically places in the centre of the hotel and easily seen from the glass lift. The breakfast, although ample, was the most disappointing part of the stay.- For the quality of the hotel, there could have been more choice of juices and cold meats, cheese etc . Unfortunately empty dishes were often not refilled and we had to ask for things like milk, bacon etc. In spite of this, I would recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for a couple of nights with some colleagues, despite a very late arrival and trying to get a late breakfast the staff were friendly and helpful
The front of the hotel seemed to be in a large building site however the rear is in wonderful countryside with great views.

Hotel is set back off the road so it you can drive past it, but this means it is very quiet in the room. There is not AC in the room as is common across germany and Austria I have found and this made the room uncomfortably warm for me but they did provide me with a fan and a extention cable so i could survive. Breaksfast is standard fair for a 4 star hotel. It is attached to a tennis hall if you enjoy the game as well as a sauna area.

Loved this hotel. My family and I stayed for a week in late June and really enjoyed it. The rooms are spacious and internet access was great. The hotel is adjacent to a lovely walking path near a hill and former monastery so I had an opportunity for a lot of exercise.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast layout was very nice. I will be staying there again.

Clean hotel with a nice location and friendly staff but rooms somewhat spartan.
Excellent facilities if you are keen on tennis but other facilties not so good (gym)
or extortionate (~€25 for a sauna even if you are a guest).
Restaurant is OK, asparagus very nice when in season.
Some interesting photos of celebrities who stayed here (mainly football teams playing
local side Sturm Graz), esp. a young David Beckham checking in.

I've spent here a couple of days with colleagues to attend business-related meetings. The hotel receptionists were well-informed and very helpful. The rooms in the rotunda are large, compared to other hotels. The furniture is a bit old, but everything was clean and tidy. The view is relaxing from the rooms on the west - green, forested hills without traffic and noise.
The bar is fair priced and the service is attentive. The restaurant offers traditional styrian dishes on a short menu. The in-house tennis court is cheap, and buying sports equipment is possible in the hotel's own store - next to many other local specialities.

The town of Graz is not a big deal. Been there just for the evening and the sleep over.
The hotel is situated well, quiet place and there is a sport complex too. We had 2 connecting rooms, very clean and very comfortable, including the beds. The bathroom was also clean and contained all the needed equipment. There was one drawback while takin the shower a strong, unpleasant smell of sulphur came out of the drainage hole. WI-FI did not function well at all.

We had a family room which turned out to be a massive suite - 2 rooms both huge! Separate toilet to bathroom (also vast) which is always useful. The pool was large and good to use at the tail end of the heatwave with lovely views across to the hills. It is a little way out of Graz but we found local restaurants to eat in the evening without having to go back in to the city. The food in the hotel was OK but nothing startling - we had the whole restaurant to ourselves on a Saturday night. Our teen son was delighted with the Schwarzenegger Museum - a 3 storey wall of photos, body building equipment etc that you can admire as you rise up in the lift. Hearing a 16 year old yell Get To The Chopper every time the lift opens never gets old.
The only oddities were that we couldn't alter the air conditioning which was a pain as we were there as I say during a heat-wave (it broke the day we left) and the wiring for the bedroom lights which meant that the main light and side lights were all on the same switch and we couldn't leave one on and the others off.
