Stopped for a wine tasting at Twomey, the lady at the front counter was only concerned about paying up front, pricing and selling the tasting. We entered a room with a girl who had tattoos on her fingers, flaunting her 5 years of working there but really had no knowledge, was describing the wines to us off the list-we could have done that ourselves and read it!! Asked her questions like, what is the difference between corks and screw tops? Oh it’s up to the discretion of the wine maker…ahhh there is a difference. What’s the difference between a $5 dollar bottle and $500? A nothing-nothing really? The palate one was the best answer to us. Do you taste the chocolate and berries? A no, because it’s what you want it to taste like?? Huh?? Ok, it tastes like garlic!! $35.00 and the pours wouldn’t even make a full glass!!

Precious guest experiences were gracious, welcoming and friendly. Would always buy at least a case of wine before leaving.

Visited October 2022 and could not have been more disappointed. Hostess stated she was a "manager" but I have a difficult time believing this individual was such, as she was abrupt to the point of being rude, and had zero guest relations skill. Was focused on paying up front much more so than telling us about their wines and other pertinent facts. I'm a Certified Sommelier and previously enjoyed Twomey Pints, but this experience really turned me off of their wines and will not return to this location. Purchased a glass of wine and then left empty handed.

After spending time in Sonoma I was warned about Napa’s stigma of the impersonal “corporateness” of napa which was not our experience until visiting this tasting room. We were given the incorrect wine list. The waitress was not very engaging or knowledgeable. She came across as insecure about her knowing the industry. Since this is a well known brand I guess it doesn’t matter to the company if the visitors have a special experience or not. This was very obvious to us.

Twomey is a spin off from Silver Oak, and the quality of the wine speaks! I particularly enjoyed the Sauv Blanc. It was crisp and refreshing. The Pinot Nior blend had great spice and fragrance. We visited on our Platypus Tour and our guide shared a lot of information about the wine industry. It's a smaller facility. Worth the stop if you're looking for the quality of Silver Oak and wanting to try a different variety of wine.

We stopped at Twomey Cellars on a chance; we had just missed out on our scheduled tour of one of the larger wineries, and our driver suggested visiting this winery. The home and facilities are modest and well kept and we entered a small area for wine tasting and for purchase of hats and other memorabilia. We found the hosts very friendly and knowledgeable of the wines. We tasted about 5 wines, and purchased several bottles each of a very good Sauvignon Blanc, and a Cabernet. Like most places, your tasting fee is applied against any purchase of wine, This makes a perfect short stop on your tour of the area, and while there is no tour, you don't have to worry about scheduling/booking in advance which was a plus for us, and the wines were of good quality and reasonably priced ($20-30$/bottle or thereabouts).

We had a bottle of 2010 Russian River Pinot Noir earlier this year that blew our minds. A gift from friends. So when we were in Napa we made a point to pop in to their tasting room. The experience was OK, but I would recommend making a reservation for a more immersive experience. The staff were friendly and the wines they poured were tasty, but none of them were on par with that bottle we had had earlier in the year. I'd visit them again, but would make an advanced reservation instead of just popping in to the tasting room.

Twomey Cellars is owned by Silver Oak Cellars in Napa Valley. Their portfolio comprises vineyard-designated as well as appellation-driven wines, using grapes sourced from eight estate family-owned vineyards in California, with a pinot driven vineyard opening in Oregon soon.

Sustainability includes saving water, conserving energy, protecting the environment and promoting healthy vineyards. They follow modern IPM (Integrated Pest Management) protocols which partial use pesticides, to keep phylloxera in check but making it to where they attract beneficial insects, such as ladybugs, spiders, bees, and butterflies.

My older daughter and I liked the 2017 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir for $50. My younger daughter did not care for any of the wines they were pouring. Tasting fee was $20. They were fairly busy as it was near the end of the day. Good service. No problem with parking.

We first stumbled upon this great find when we got lost looking for someplace else. This time, we came back anticipating another great experience, and Twomey did not disappoint. Great wine, wonderful chat
With the folks working there, no pressure to rush or buy, really appreciated their knowledge without feeling intimidated or talked down to. Great pinots, love their cab Sauvignon blanc. They are a sister winery to Silver Oak, but prefer this less commercial, less hurried environment

We have been here 2X and both times the woman who guided us through the wines was amazing! This is a can't miss winery. Most these days seem snobby and crazy expensive. This is a good value and great wine for the valley.
