A place with historical importance and a stunning panoramic view of the city of Stuttgart. I went there on Silvester and the view of the city was simply unforgettable. It's also a good hike to reach the top.

The only reason this gets four stars is because the city hasn’t cleaned up any of the graffiti. If you’re from a country that was involved in World War II, this is a must-see. The fact the entire hill is build upon rubble from over 50 air raids performed on Stuttgart is humbling. To describe the atmosphere in a single word, nothing does it more justice than “heavy”. With a gloomy sky, misty rain, and no one around, the atmosphere was a lot to take in. The sheer history held here is almost oppressive. Whether or not you possess an interest in history, it’s worth the trip to just take it all in and consider that those stones aren’t just debris—they used to be part of a city full of people who didn’t ask for what they got. Five minute walk up the hill and another twenty to just soak in the views is all you need. Be sure to bring a camera.

Beautiful views of the city! Debris and rubble from WWII - several pieces of interesting building facade. Shaded, paved meandering path leads to the top. Moderate grade but accessible with stroller or bike. Multiple benches and cutouts for kids to stop for a rest (or you). Several branch trails to explore. Some stinging nettle off the trails - beware. Parking located just across the street (Rotenwaldstrasse Parking).

Nice view of the city, interesting history area. It's a super easy hike, mostly paved walkway, not even 15 minutes to the top and not steep. Parking is free at the bottom. Nice little thing to do quick one morning or afternoon?

500 meters above sea level, ~300 meters above Neckar river, there is a great view of the city of Stuttgart! Between 1953 to 1957 on this hill 1.5 millions cubic meters of city ruins were poured, that's why the hill became even 40 meters higher. During WWII about 45 % of Stuttgart was destroyed, so this hill also has its history, about which reminds the big Cross on the top of it.

We use the Bahnofplatz as a meeting point, was always clean, tidy safe and well lit up! Easy to find too!

Fantastic museum!! I was impressed and it was cheaper than I expected. There were expositions from each decade since 1900. They were really really beautiful most of the car designs. The building itself was also pretty and quite impressive. Even the loft was cool.

Absolutely stunning museum designed to hugely enhance the amazing displays of historic and current Mercedes-Benz cars. We spent over two hours there and, had it not been closing time, would have stayed a lot longer. We thought the price of €12 per adult was excellent value for money and, as well as truly appreciating the sublime architecture, we were massively impressed by the world history displayed in the panels down each of the curving walkways on each floor. And to the cars! An awesome display of high quality vehicles of all types with individual plaques to explain their significance. No-one could fail to be impressed by the range, quality and descriptions for each vehicle on display. From the first historic cars to the most current Formula 1 cars, the range is quite unbelievable. The toilet, accessibility and food facilities are all top class, as is the range of items to purchase in the shop. In all, a highly recommended experience which is too good to miss if you're in Stuttgart. Thank you!

One of the best automobile museums that I have been to (as an automotive enthusiast)! The museum was filled with not only detailed history about the car as a mode of transportation, but also world history so that one could understand the context of which the inventions or innovations were made in. Such a diverse collection of cars, iconic and legendary. 4 stars because I would have loved to see the latest cars from Mercedes-Benz. The newest ones in the museum were only concept cars from the past decade. Bit disappointed in this respect but all in all, worth the visit!

Even for non car lovers, this place is still good to visit. What more for car enthusiasts. Having gone to 2 famous car museums in Stuttgart, here’s my take for Mercedes Benz, the exhibits are informative and I like how the museum flows with time and also with other world events. You will see why the entire Mercedes Benz or (Daimler) group is so important to the history of Germany The gift shops are well equipped with pretty nice souvenirs to get from. There are cafes and a restaurant. There are also locker rooms and coat rooms if you are bringing bigger bags you can store them and go for your tour. Went alone and spent about 2.5 hours or so in there. Staff are helpful and friendly. This museum is more family oriented and there are 7 levels of exhibits. I enjoyed myself especially knowing the history of Germany and the company. Ever wondered the names of Daimler, Benz, Mercedes and how are they related and why is it being used interchangeably? What does the logo stands for? You will get your answer here.

The MERCEDES-BENZ MUSEUM was amazing! When you first arrive, you take the elevator to the top floor and walk down the spiralling path. It starts with the earliest vehicles and the vehicles get progressively newer the further down you go. The museum was well laid out with plenty of lighting. The parking garage on the backside of the museum made the visit painless and easy.

Impressive museum! Sadly I got an audio guide with a low battery and it died in the middle of my visit. You get to keep the strap of the audio guide as a souvenir by the way. It takes around 2-3h to see everything depending on your speed. It starts with a chronological order since 1900. There is a lot of information for car enthusiasts and also for people who just want to learn more about the history of car making and the different inventions/technologies throughout the history. The design of the building itself is amazing. There are lockers and coat storage places. Toilets, which were remarkably clean, are available not only during the start/end of the museum but there is one in each level as far as I remember. At the end of the tour, some fun interactive activities are available which can also be suitable for kids, I think it was called science center or something similar. The gift shop had a very limited selection and was quite overpriced.

We've been there on Saturday afternoon, didn't felt crowded. Museum is HUGE! Amazing experience, would recommend it to everyone. The entry is low in comparison what you see. You can even enter in some vehicles. Employees were mostly all very friendly. We can recommend also restaurant in museum, very cosy environment, friendly staff and food was delicious. 🙌🏻

Very cool and bigger than expected museum. The interactive audio was spotty but very cool to hear some of the history. Lots of history in this museum of the vehicle, transport, and inventions that changed the world. Definitely a must see in Stuttgart.

Definitely a must visit place if you love everything cars or even history. Took the guided tour, and was given a very in depth rich history of Mercedes-Benz. The models on display were simply stunning. It was amazing to know how the company started very humbly and progress into what it is today.

The Museum is very nice. Starting at the top floor you work your way from the invention of the first engine, to the first motorized carridge to the first car and get a good historical view of transportation as we know it today. We enjoyed the exhibits that were much more than just looking at cars. The museum shows connections between world events and the car industry avoiding controversial issues.

Not all museums are boring! ;) This is such a great place to visit if you are fond of cars, technology or history. It would take 3 to 4 hours to cover all the sections. The audio guide works seamlessly. The cars on display are maintained with utmost care and are very well organized. Overall it's a must visit place for any automotive enthusiast!

Family tickets cost 24€ compare to Porsche musume gives you discount when you take public transportation (10€ for 2+2 family).

Superb experience! They have 8 floors in total, every floor has its own story (and year). bring back to the old history of cars until the future or up to now.👍 Suggestion: heard they give discounted ticket if you enter in the afternoon, about 50% disc if im not mistaken.

The souvenir shop at the end didn't live up to expectations due to high prices. 💰😕 It dampened the overall value after paying the entrance fee. I recommend avoiding the museum during summer holidays due to large crowds. 🌞🚶‍♂️ This can detract from the enjoyment of the visit. In conclusion, the Mercedes-Benz Museum has highlights, especially for car enthusiasts, but updates, pricing, and overall visitor experience could be enhanced. 🏁🚗

A great place to visit when in Stuttgart. I have been there twice now and I am mesmerized each time. Their organized manner, way of storytelling is just amazing. We started at the very beginning of human civilization of using horses as a mode of transportation. From there, the discovery and use of motor vehicles, steam engines and fuel engines was just marvelous. A huge collection of collectibles and historical facts made the entire experience worthwhile. This was really a great experience for us. They also had a nice cafeteria and souvenir store along with a simulation centre. Tickets are subsidized for students, kids and senior citizens.

Very affordable entry. (Paid 3€ each for students.) The super welcoming staff speak multiple languages are very friendly and smiling at you when they see you. Museum was great with many exhibitions and cars as well as a unique layout different to other museums which made it more enjoyable to walk around as it gave you views of the cars you otherwise wouldn’t see.

The building is impressive to see. Selection of the cars is comprehensive and well laid out. Good coverage of Porsche's engineering era and innovations. The descriptions in the audio guide were useful and intriguing. Interactive spots like revving different engines were fun! You should take time to get the most out of it.

This is the best experience I ever had in my business trips. From the moment you are inside of the build you start to feel all the good atmosphere created by all the personal working there. The system used to guide you through all the museum is available in many languages making really enjoyable being there. Car you only saw in book or in movies, you have now the opportunity to see them face to face, Amazon experience. I really loved been there, thank you so much!

If you like cars at all, you will enjoy this place. My only issue was with the headsets - they only worked sporadically. The cars are cool as is the museum itself. They also have a place to grab some food and drinks and a gift shop.

One of the best museums ever. Forget the fact that I'm a Porsche enthusiast. The museum does a wonderful job of telling the story of the company as well as displaying some stunning cars. The location is convenient and the restaurants in the building are wonderful. The real selling point is how the cars are displayed. The cars are not behind glass or roped off, which really ruins pictures. They are accessible to be walked around and appreciated. For a Porsche person, this is a bucket list item.

Fascinating! Took my three young children here. Ages 4,5,8. With your admission ticket you receive a handheld smart device to punch in the numbers at each exhibit. This give you an audio description of the exhibit and other options to interact with the exhibit. Even for my three little ones this was captivating. A solid 2-3 hours worth of entertainment. There’s also food onsite with a kids menu that is reasonably priced.

A small but a very good museum! First of all there is no option to purchase tickets online, you have to buy them at the front desk. As for the museum, the food is very impressive for a cafeteria inside of a museum. Second, it’s a small museum compared to some others but it’s packed with interesting cars and stories. Definitely worth the visit. Car park is 4 euro for 4 hours, not bad!

Very slick and polished just like the car itself. Polite service all around and the cars were amazing too. The audio guide works by you keying in the exhibit number and then deciding if you wanted to listen to the general history, technical information or even if you wanted a kiddy version. The escalator takes you to the museum level and you work your office at the round and up (ramps not stairs) and at the top, once you are done there's another escalator to take you all the way back down (gift shop and cafe/restaurant) We loved the cars and all the history. There's an area where you can sit in an actual Porsche car and have your picture taken and printed out for free. Definitely worth a visit! If you go to the Mercedes museum after, show them the Porsche tickets to get a discount on tickets.

Great place for all automotive no matter the brand. Porsche is classic, technology, sport. A must visit in Stuttgart together with the Mercedes Museum. The ticket is 12€ already for an adult. There are discounts for groups. Available cafe, restaurant, souvenir shop, toilet, cloakroom. With a prior reservation, you can drive a Porsche model chosen by you. The price is according to the model, a driver's license is required, a credit card deposit of 2500€ and a reservation of at least a week in advance is required. Enjoy.

I visited the Porsche Museum and had a great time. The parking garage under the museum made the visit extremely easy. The staff spoke very good English and the displays were well thought out. So many historic cars and it was really cool to see them all in person.

One of the best place for automobile enthusiast who want to learn about the evolution of Porsche. If we travelled by train to reach this place we will get discount on the entry ticket. Actual price is 10 euro and we paid only 5euro after showing the train ticket. The exhibits are fascinating and we can see most of the Porsche cars in this museum. Audio kit is very useful to know abt the exhibits in detail. I love cars and I will visit soon with my son who is also fond of cars. If you are an car enthusiast you must visit this museum.

Great place to visit. There are so many Porsche old and new ones. It took 30 minutes to enter. Long line to get ticket, may be because it was Saturday? There may be restriction for number of people that can enter exhibition hall at once. Heritage cars and modern Porsche, they all look beautiful in any angles. Each car is one piece of art.

Fabulous museum. Really cool hands on exhibits and some amazing cars all barrier free. Two main floors and probably the worlds best small gift shop. Small cafe onsite too. Easily done in 1-2 hours and plenty of seating for those family members who need to sit down while you look. Parking directly underneath and get it validated for free. Highly recommended.

Dream place for race car lovers and old Porsche heritage fanatics. For everyone else it's a little underwhelming and a bit average. The scale of the museum is also quite small and can be easily covered in an hour.

Beautiful lawn in front of the government buildings, adorned by two beautiful fountains. Lots of people hang around here all day, having picnics or drinking socially. It become quite packed in the evenings. There's lots of activities around this place during their dinner festival. Must visit when you're in town.

A great historic outdoor place where people usually sit, chat or grab a quick bite. Its a clean plaza where you can feel the history of the city. One can also see the old buildings and structures. A good place for a walk if you are a tourist. Usually bustling with people.

Went there with a friend in 2010 and it was a very impressive plaza and ideal for a walk on a clear warm day and nice place to take photos. Great monuments also and right near the Stuttgart Hbf station. The park/plaza is simple to get to using U Bahn or S Bahn. There are also some great nearby restaurants and shopping mall. It can get crowded on a lovely summer day but if you like a crowd, then this is the place for you to enjoy nature and fabulous monuments.

A beautiful place, very well-kept, you can sit on the grass and relax. There can be a lot of people in the square and it still doesn't feel crowded. Majestically beautiful fountain. I definitely recommend visiting Stuttgart during the "Weindorf" festival. It is organized near the square.

Lovely place to spend a calm evening. Always adorned by fountains and kids playing around. There were lot of food tents around the place to grab something quick and also major eatery nearby It’s feels so good to walk around the entire place admiring the arts

We visited here on occasion of Christmas market. It was superb experience. Really treat to our eyes. Just a tip to make sure visit during day light around 3.30 so later u can enjoy lightning sculptures. we haven't visited in normal days.

We had a nice guided tour of the area, explaining the history and advising of the hardships faced during WWII. It was very interesting. There were a lot of old structures - some original and some rebuilt after the war.

An amazing stop in Stuttgart. The biggest Christmas market I've ever seen and a really nice "warm" feeling.... There's nothing warm about the weather in December but otherwise a nice place. Lots of shops, stalls and a shopping mall just outside the train stop. To come again.

Awesome !! Stuttgart TV tower is the 1st tower in the world and after this many towers built across all over the world. Nice structure and it’s 150m height. At the top, there is Panoramic view restaurant and we can see stuttgart 360 deg view. It’s a great experience. Entry fee is 10.5 Euros 💶.

Great place to see Stuttgart! The view is really nice and the restaurant at the top of the tower is better than expected. Everyone is friendly and greets you with a smile, from the staff at the lobby to the staff at the restaurant and the elevator. Highly recommended, even if you just want to have a coffee, though the entrance price was a bit on the high side (10.5€ per person)

Incredible views, you can see across most of Swabia from here. Short and fast elevator ride up, then two decks of wonderful views. Also a cafe although we didn't go there. Easy to access using the U-bahn, certainly worth a visit.

217 meter tall TV tower. .!! A beauty standing between the forest cover in Stuttgart is a must see place. The place gives a nice view of the places around the city. . If possible also visit the restaurant on the top floor for a dine in clouds. . lastly don't forget to get your own tower mint on coin (good souvenir).

Leaving the tower was bittersweet, but the memories will always remind me of this swift, exciting, and beautiful visit.

Heading to Stuttgart and not knowing what should do? This Tower maybe give you answer. You can reach this tower with U15 Ruhbank. The Tower has their own Charm and known as big Tower in Germany. You can see nice green scenery from above Stuttgart and The Ticket was not Expensive and very recomended

The first telecommunications tower in the world constructed from reinforced concrete, the Fernsehturm Stuttgart was completed in 1956. There is a gift shop and queue area at the ground floor. From there, the lift whisks you to the lower observation deck at 150 meters (490 feet) which is enclosed. Then you can check out the upper observation deck which is open to the air. We lucked out with great visibility today able to see for miles and miles and miles. And we got a snack in the cafe while looking out at the horizon.

Incredible sight view , a must in Stuttgart :) Also in winter it is incredible. You pay like 10€ and you get to the top with someone of the stuff, that explains you everything about the turret. Then you have a coffee/restaurant and on top an awesome view of the city.

Decent place with good view of the whole city. Beauty of the view depends on the weather and clouds. Best place to look at the forest and city marriage and colliding roads to increase the beauty. A little costly for the view considering binoculars are additional costs. Well maintained and equipped with fast elevators. Overall, one time visit place for a good view!

You will get 360 view over Stuttgart from 150m height. Be aware that with Thunderstorm they will lock the outside balcony. Elevator is fast. There is a small restaurant on top to enjoy food or just grab a beer.

Really cool experience and deffinitely worth a visit! You get a panoramic view of Stuttgart and it‘s surroundings, and havibg been there now at the start of Autumn, the forest really brings a lot of color to the view! We went in the afternoon and were able to catch the sunset at the top, which made the experience and lighting all the better! Also made it not very crowded! On the downside, the wind is really vold at this time of year so be prepared for the cold temperatures up there 😬!

Stunning place! This is my favorite museum in Europe... I have Been here twice, they always display explanations about temporary exhibitions so even if you don't have a background, you can easily understand and appreciate on your level the exhibition. They have a good collection of Modern Art, German painters especially. You can find there one of the most famous painting of La Renaissance to me "Roma Antica". If you happen to be in Stuttgart, go there it is only a few blocks away from Stuttgart Hbf

We really enjoyed the Art Gallery. We arrived when an exhibition of works by Modeliani was taking place. In the Gallery Halls there are many paintings from different eras, from the early Middle Ages to the 40-60s of the last century. There are paintings of world celebrities. Large collection of French impressionists. Very interesting. I couldn't see everything in one day. It's tiring. That's why I'll come here again.

Good collection, Wednesday the tickets are free but for some collections u have to buy so better to buy the tickets earlier so u can go with flow! The Vedio game kind of thing was good

When you visit you can see all the art periods change in order. They have a lot of famous artist collections. You can see Rembrandt, Matisse, Picasso, Monet, and more....

Best place to spend time! Lots of modern art and classical arts. There are some special collections every now and then! And its also FREE if you are in student status.

An amazing experience! I spent the whole day there for free, as I am a student under 20 years of age. There is a vat variety of art from different eras, as well as ever-changing galleries. An unique experience and sincerely one of the best museums I've visited as of so far. Would recommend.

I loved it. It has masterpieces inside like Jackson Pollock,Picasso, Paul Klee, Edvand Munk,Salvador Dali and more ,plus they have an amazing piece of art The cleaning lady by Duane Hanson 1972 that was incredibly realistic and I thought that a lady was sitting in the middle of the gallery room.

A great art museum right near Stadtmitte. From Matisse to Picasso, they had a great selection of the masters.

Amazing collection of art, with text placards that explain the context. The museum is enormous, I only had time to see the modern art gallery, but would like to revisit to see the rest.

Excellent visit. Lots of attention has been put into the layout of the museum and it’s very interesting. All descriptions are offered in English which is a bonus! The building and contents are beautifully presented.

This is a one of a kind museum and a fun place to visit. Everything you want to know about pigs in culture, mythology, and science is here in one place and more pig toys, stairs, piggy banks, than you can imagine exist. The beer garden outside is nice as well. Fun interesting way to spend a couple of hours while in Stuttgart.

Wierd collection of pig parafernalia. It is also informative with some pig related data. But it is mostly random weird stuff. I would not say it is a must-visit of Stuttgart but you definitely won't find a similar museum in other places.

Its cute to see so many things in pig shape, if you are bored then this is right place. Every room has a information about pigs which is interesting and you wil get to know lot more about pigs in different country and myths relating to them. The place takes around 1 hour to see both floors.

Such a funny museum. And with the cheap price, it’s totally worth it! It’s right by a tram stop too. Too bad my Peppa Pig didn’t make it out alive 😂

Interesting and unexpected. I really liked the miniatures in the museum and the fact that it is really genuine, but could have been a bit "refreshed" from its old appearance, taking into consideration the entrance ticket that is not really cheap. Would have liked to buy a small souvenir but the lady that was taking care of the museum shop didn't even ask me if I wanted something else, just told me that "this is an old museum and paying is possible just by cash" ... Well a bit of upgrading would not be bad, I think! Otherwise, the collection of exponates was really cute :)

Arrived just after 16:00 and everything locked up. When the door opened to let previous visitors out the unfriendly staff insisted they were already closed despite the sign in the door saying last entry 16:15

This is definitely the best pig museum in the world. It has about every representation ever made of a pig. It also provides historical notes in English and German. It has an adjoining beer garden where you can reflect on the experience over a German beer!

One of the weirdest places in Stuttgart but it made me so happy to visit. This 40.000 item collection has put the Pig Museum in the Guinness Book of Records. Definitely give this place a try if visiting Stuttgart, Germany.

This is literally one of the best museums I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot. Yes, it's kitschy, but the collection impresses through its sheer size. I promise you have never seen this many pigs in one place.

Very interesting and inspiring exhibition in Kunstmuseum! The location is right near by the Schlossplatz. The ticket is around ~20€ per person but there are discounts for some group of people, for example, students. Not very crowed. Much visit place in Stuttgart!

To be honest as a museum lover I wouldn’t say it’s one of the best museums I’ve ever visited. The location is really good, city center, easy to find and walkable distance from hauptbahnhof. The architecture itself is pretty cool and the restaurant on roof top has amazing view of Stuttgart city. Variety of artwork is not so big but really good for a cozy walk and chat together with your friends or bf/gf. Books in souvenir shop are cool though!

Loved the fact that inside the museum you can see both old and new art pieces, different art currents, different views. And now, with this pandemic going on, they are really prepared for everybody to be safe!

Very boring, definitely not worth the 11€ for the ticket. Most of the "art" is modern, so don't expect to make sense of it. Skip this one

The museum is as good as always. Love it when there is a new exhibition. The Ai one was definitely freaky and entertaining. You can always visit tho for the main gallery when there isn’t a special exhibition. You gan give your backpack and jackets to the wardrobe for free.

I enjoyed my 1st visit to the museum. Though not the biggest fan of modern art, there were plenty of pieces there that I admired. The museum feels much larger inside than it appears, especially the ground floor and -1. On the ground floor, there were areas that were roped off and others that had a dead end. I went down one path and had to retrace my steps, only to discover it was newly blocked off. Other areas had large yellow arrows taped on the floor that led me the wrong way (straight to the emergency stairs and not the artwork). One display was inside the walls and was a neat experience since it was "interactive." Had there been more displays like this, I would have recommended it for younger children. The upper floors were more crowded as the rooms were smaller and showed the most current highlighted exhibit. The lower floors were more spread out and way less dense in population. Perhaps these pieces don't change often or are permanent displays? Overall, it was a nice experience and if you haven't been yet, I would recommend a visit to the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart

Modern art at its best!

I like that there were not much people so I could enjoy by my pace, but there was a guard following me around seemed like I would destroy the artpiece, which made me feel uncomfortable to be followed around.

Not a big fan of modern arts, however I enjoyed a lot of parts in the Museum.

It was a nice experience. I had a lot of fun, even though I didn't understand all of the artwork. There's sadly no explanation of the artworks, they're only displayed, like other art museums, so if you don't understand art, don't bother going there. For everybody else: Recommended!

I can’t believe I finally got to see the interior of the New Palace in Stuttgart. It’s not open to the public except on the night of the open museums. I cannot recommend doing that more. So beautiful and so opulent.

Magnificent palace! Didn't get a chance to visit inside and I'm not sure if someone is allowed to or not since this place is now an official building for several government departments and ministries. The footprint of this palace is pretty huge and it spreads in a nig area with lots of gardens and public squares around. Very close to the Stuttgart main station and one of the most visited spots in this city...

A beautiful place. Some photos for your eye. Not as amazing as other castles, however it has some unique architectural features. The building with the Stag on top is also a rare sight.

Nice restaurant in an awesome location. Regional and very tasty food, specially the Käsespätzle. Try it :) Good place to eat and enjoy the view and relax. The service was also great. We will come back for sure.

Nicely situated with a pretty view if you can catch a table outside. Reservation definitely recommended. Might get pretty loud inside and maybe some waiting time when it's crowded. The food is for sure worth it tho. Best kraut and "starter" salad I ever had I would think. The Hirsch was also top notch.

Located beautifully in the vineyard area of Stuttgart next to the famous “Grabkapelle”(must see) with great views. Thanks for great and very friendly service!! Thoroughly enjoyed my risotto lunch here. They also have a terrace with great views but be sure to reserve. We didn’t so we didn’t get to sit out on the terrace to enjoy the views.

May 26th, 2023 If you've been following my reviews then you undoubtedly know my friend Ines by now. She had invited me out to another Taste 12 dinner. That's a coupon book with buy-one-get-one meal coupons for twelve restaurants in the Stuttgart area. This time we struck at Rotenberger Weingärtle and held no expense back as we ordered the two most expensive items on the menu. Ines and I decided to split the triple pork platter and the phallic shaped salmon with goat cheese and saffron orzo. Before arriving at the restaurant we had a conversation that made me worry about our relationship. This fretted my mind the entire time and the bland strawberry-rhubarb mocktail only worsened my anxiety. When the dishes were served all my woes were erased. I was instead transported to elation at the sight of such a banquet… such a feast… such a sumptuous repast. Starting with the pork, the cheek was simply stunning. It was saturated with savory flavor that I had to use every bit of will I possessed to share the cheek with Ines. But knowing that she'd revel in its glory as I had was a purer intention. The pork belly was so luxurious that I slumped in my seat in satisfaction as the fat instantaneously melted. Unfortunately, the rest of the dish simply couldn't compete. By any other standards the pork medallions would've been good, but next to such superior cuts prepared to perfection… no, I think not. The bacon wrapped pork served as an extra in the blurred background of a scene where the stars acted out the climax. The green puree was certainly interesting. I couldn't quite nail what I thought of it after several tastes, so interesting will have to suffice. The carrot puree, however, was undoubtedly lacking, perhaps requiring better seasoning or a different flavor profile. On to the phallic shaped salmon… ok, sorry for my immaturity here but guess I can't resist. It was certainly good, and salmon is one of those things where preference plays a large role. Ines thought it to be absolutely perfect, where I would've preferred it cooked slightly less with a crispier skin. The interior of the goat cheese was exquisitely soft and didn't have the crumbliness or chalky flavor that is common. Again, Ines enjoyed the orzu and I thought it was cooked with too much wine. The sauteed vegetables on the side were tasty, but I don't think they were incorporated into the dish very well. Perhaps I'm just being too picky now and my inner food snob is showing. Thank you Ines, for seeing it as passion instead. 😋 Lastly, the dessert was entirely upsetting. The Mojave desert has more moisture than the chocolate cake did. Ines also reported the rhubarb to be underwhelming, however, we both enjoyed the lemon sorbet. The dishes certainly had their ups and downs, but overall it was well enough to keep my mind occupied from the woes that commanded it earlier. After some well executed communication, we smoothed things over and discovered that there was nothing worth fretting over to begin with. I could also tell that a lot of care and quality goes into the food at Rotenberger Weingärtle, so I hope my criticism isn't misunderstood as I had misunderstood Ines. My final rating is, "It might just be the best Schwäbisch restaurant I've been to and would recommend it to friends looking for a quality meal with a view to match."

It's a cultural museum concentrating on Tamil culture and traditions. Audio guides were provided. But having a translator is recommended if you don't read German. Google translate would work. Must visit. Fee was 12€ per person.

Today. They had an Aztec exilhibition. 12€ per person. It was well set out and very informative. While it is a small museum, the display was well organised. It was a pity it was not pram or wheelchair friendly. However the people there were very helpful.

We visited Afghanistan exhibition

I was only there for a short time, but I liked the exhibition that took place moreso the topic; colonialism as a wound. The prices are also fair, students and pupils get a discount.

A big museum with many rooms for different kinds of exhibitions. Some exhibitions are paid and some are free. I had the chance to visit a nice one for free and it was amazing. It was enough to get a taste of it. If I had the time, I wouldn't hesitate to visit the rest of them.

Best place when it us rainy. I visit it with my 8 and 5 years old grand-child. The 8 years old boy loves the audio guide. A great thing. Attention he or she will that u listen whole day 🤟🏾👍🏾😎😋 the little 5 year ild girls loves the Museum too. The People are very friendly. And they participate at the Arabic Film Festival 👍🏾 congrats.

What a snooze fest other than trying to figure out the jacked up layout; it’s not set up well at all. Maybe it’s just not my forte but I didn’t like it at all and found it was a waste of euro. I wish I could go back and not pay for not only the ‘special’ exhibit but also the regular one. They must know their exhibits aren’t that good because they weren’t as attentively monitoring guests as with the other museums I visited. As a matter of fact they even said that some of their stuff is recreations again another reason the others were better. It takes away the history part of it. Take the mock-up they made below to show the only four jewels they had.

Food was really good here, but the desserts weren't that impressive. There's a menu written with chalk, and one picks the dishes from the list and orders at one of the 3 counters. The food is ready really fast, so even though there's a big line at the entrance, it doesn't take too long for it to move. There are tables inside on the ground floor, where the food is also ordered, and there's a second floor with more tables. There are also tables on the outside and when the weather is nice there's even some benches and a beer garden. The bathrooms are accessible from the outside, but as these can be used by anyone visiting the Pfaffensee, they tend to be a bit dirty. It's a very nice place to come with visitors, family and children, but it's a bit on the expensive side.

Take time to hike or ride your bike here. Excellent location for a leisurely weekend lunch. Try the hot food with amazing desserts and drinks in the main lodge, or check out the food trucks with hot dogs and ice cream around the exterior. Plenty of seating despite good sized crowds.

It is hidden away in the woods around lakes. The walk is rewarded with a warm kitchen that serves a full meal, coffee, cakes and cold drinks. There is sufficient seating inside and outside, place to have a picnic too.

Love that place. They have such a great variety of meals, drinks & yummy Kuchen! The surroundings are so beautiful, and they have lots of inside and outside seating options. Also, it can get very busy on a sunny weekend day, but the kitchen works fast.

Very nice place in the middle of the forest and close to the lake. The perfect spot to make a pause of your bike/rando time, grab a drink (soft and beers) and if you have hungry you can eat a proper meal as well. All surrounded by beautiful nature 🌿🍻

The Bärenschlössle looks very impressive. It's dimly cozy inside. You go to the counter, place your order and are given a number and then wait. There are two floors in the building with tables. It's definitely more comfortable upstairs with light, windows and a great view. The service is friendly and quick. The prices are usual. My Maultaschen and the potato salad were reasonable for the price and very tasty.

It is always a joy to be able to have some hot food right after a nice long nature walk, the location here is perfect, plenty of outdoor seating too. But the food here... I can't say I enjoy it much at all. Added review as to answer the owner's comment : That is right, I should have been more specific about why I did not enjoy the food, that is because: As other reviewers also have commented, the ingredients were not fresh, most of the food were premade(or at least taste like that)and some dishes were so salty and yet some dishes were tasteless. Flavorful dishes cannot be created just by adding salt though. I love good food but I don't come to the middle of a forest with high hope of having some gourmet food, but at least we would like the food to be somewhat fresh. We always respect a restaurant which can be proud of the food they make for people, could that to be too much a high standard for some restaurants?

The area in general is really nice for hiking bbq and enjoying nature in general. The Restaurant and the ambience could be much better with regards to the equipment, quality of the meals and the dessert. The beer from the Fass was good.

A moderately sized menu, very tasty food. Average protions for average prices. Food serving speed is instant, at under 2 minutes for all ordered positions (the establisment has a caffeteria-like serving system).

Mushrooms (100% canned, not fresh) texture like rubber, noodles way overcooked and falling apart. Also the food is 100% re-heated not freshly cooked since it was ready after 1 minute?! Definitely way overpriced for 15€. Additionally the cashier was rude in explaining how the process of getting your food works. Wouldn’t come again for a meal. The cake looks good though.

After enjoying a pleasant walk, we decided to visit Bärenschlössle for a coffee break. The setting of the café, nestled in a scenic location, promised a relaxing experience. Unfortunately, the coffee did not live up to our expectations. It was rather plain and lacked the rich, robust flavor one anticipates in a good cup of coffee. The taste was disappointingly bland, making the coffee experience underwhelming. While the atmosphere at Bärenschlössle was inviting, the coffee itself was a letdown for those who appreciate a flavorful brew.

Hiked the park and right un the middle was this great resting spot. Although we just had a little treat, there is a full restaurant options. I spied on the plates of other patrons and the food looked and smelled fabulous. It was a holiday weekend and the place was packed, however it was very efficient and we only waited in line for only 3-4 min. There was seating up on a deck around the building as well as inside seating and out in the yard surrounding. So never a concern as to finding a place to sit down and enjoy your treat! Bathrooms were plentiful, there was a line for the women's, but it went quickly for as busy as it was. The park walk was splendid, even for early spring I found some blooms and a very interesting water foul that I have never seen in the states!

Free of charge accessible viewing terrace above terminals 1 to 3. Superb views of the runways and docked/parked aircraft. Can get very warm in the summer.

Who doesn't love the smell of kerosine while standing outside in the freezing cold while constantly being annoyed by blasting jet streams. It's like taking your kids to the zoo, except all the animals were slaughtered and are being replaced by flying machines.

Certainly the slowest security checkpoint I’ve seen, across about 100 airports I’ve been to. Whoever is the security operations director should probably get fired. The airport wasn’t even busy. About 1 passenger per minute.

Great for Planespotters From this spot you can see/Take photos of any plane movements of the airport. Until the evening hours there is backlight (especially during winter), but it's handable. Nightshots are possible too, depends on the opening hours, try it during winter ;) Enought Restaurants are in the terminal. Same with toilets. Easy to reach with public transportation, 30min by train from city center of Stuttgart.

The new Stuttgart city hall is an example of after war modernist constructions. Many locals seem to miss the old city hall that did not survive WW2. The new city hall offers some rare paternoster elevators and an observation deck. If it is ugly or interesting might remain a point of view. At all it the city hall and landmark of the city.

One of the 20c architectural highlights of Stuttgart - the town hall. It's hard to pin down the exact architectural style - partly art deco with some strangely brutalist elements.
