Reviews
- 1st 3 sides of mine is really good other than a few clicks but i also have the Crackle through a lot of side D
- Edited 25 days agoI know I'm coming to the party a bit late, but I just got my copy today.
I am not having any of the plackback issues mentioned here--either on Side D or Side A. (I put mine straight on the turntable to see how it'd play, so this is without a cleaning first.)
Sounds like I got lucky. - I don’t know why so many rsd 2024 albums were pressed on white vinyl. It is one of the more notoriously noisy vinyl colors. Dumb.
- No nearby stores & no joy in the Monday Night Online lottery, thankfully Rough Trade added some surplus stock mid week & I managed to pay retail & not the daft prices pitched by some. Just arrived & had it straight on the deck & other than a prolonged sweep with my Anti Stat brush I've done no pre-clean. Nigh on perfect pressing here with little surface / crackling between tracks & no dimpling. Over the Moon to have grabbed a copy, more so that it's issue free & those additional tracks on Side 4 are a welcome bonus.
- the music is 5/5 - brilliant on every level. But the pressing is problematic. Distortion on A2. Or is that deliberate? I did hear some distortion elsewhere but that was the most noticeable.
- Edited one month agoI believe the WarChild initiative referred to in the notes only applies to records sold in the UK.
More info on this can be found here: https://www.warchild.org.uk/news/record-store-day-2024 - Very cool and clean sound, even without cleaning. Without any defects. The only distortion - the price, local store markup approx. 50%. Anyway happy.
- Just adding my 2 cents but my copy seems pretty clean. Came with a bunch of small debris on the records but wipe it off and it sounds pretty clean, no distortion or crackles as of now. Would have to pop on some headphones to really nail down any imperfections but on first listening, pretty good.
