Historic Arkansas Museum holds 51st annual Territorial Fair in downtown Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas history was on display for the 51st annual Territorial Fair in downtown Little Rock at the Historic Arkansas Museum at 3rd and Cumberland Sunday.

Though the rain moved the activities indoors, there was still music, dancing, crafts and other activities illustrating the rich history of the Natural State.

If you missed today’s event, there are other opportunities to discover Arkansas history at the museum throughout the year.

“The third Saturday of every month we do our living craft Saturdays, where we have our living history interpreters doing similar activities, and games and things like that,” Ian Beard, education director for the museum said.

S. Juain Young, founder of S. Juain Young & Artists United said that he is excited about the opportunity to tell these stories.

“We are always looking for other artists to join with us, to do great things, and tell our stories, and we’re just excited about this opportunity,” Young said.
