This was my journey back in second class. I got on the train and started my journey. The train was very clean, the ceilings and floors, that is, the environment looked very clean and hygienic and that gave me confidence. The journey went well. Then I was hungry, so I ordered something for myself. What I ate was very fresh and tasty. It arrived very quickly. Then I went to the toilet to wash my hands. The place was clean. On top of that, everything was on time.
Pros
IconGood connection
IconNo traffic jam
IconNo delay
Cons
IconToilets could have been cleaner
IconMore choice in the bistro
It was a very pleasant journey by Deutsche Bahn from Hanover to Munich for the concert. The train left on time and we had a good time! The coffee from the on-board bistro tasted good. There could have been a bit more choice - the staff were very friendly. The price-performance ratio is great - for the fact that we could relax and didn't have any traffic jams or the like.
Pros
IconGood service
IconGood wifi
IconNice staff
That was my ride back. The wifi was very good, I didn't have any problems with the wifi. I had a power socket at my seat, which I used to charge my mobile phone. My seat was comfortable. The staff did a good job. The service was also good. I ordered a croissant with a drink, both arrived fresh and very quickly, plus the prices on the menu were very okay. The train was so clean, especially the toilets. The journey took about five and a half hours. I can very happily recommend this trip.
Pros
IconGood wifi
IconPlenty of choice of food
IconVery good coffee
That was my return journey and it was great. I didn't notice anything negative, so I recommend this journey and am very happy to give it five stars. My train arrived on time, I also arrived on time. The journey took about 5 hours. The seats were very comfortable, it was also relatively quiet on the train, so I was able to get some sleep. When I woke up, I went to the toilet, the toilet was very clean. Then I ordered something to eat, which was a croissant and another coffee. The croissant was very fresh and arrived quickly, as did my coffee, which was very tasty. The wifi was also very good throughout. I felt very comfortable on this trip, the staff were very friendly.
Pros
IconBeautiful
IconPleasant volume
Cons
IconNone
The train ride from Hanover to Munich was overall pleasant and comfortable. The modern train offered comfortable seats and friendly train staff. The free use of wifi was a plus for productivity during the journey. The route offered beautiful scenery, but the on-board catering should be improved as the selection was limited and the prices were high. Technical problems with the loudspeakers led to difficult to understand announcements from the train staff. Despite minor shortcomings, I recommend the train trip and would repeat it.
Pros
IconNo changeover necessary
IconTrain was on time
IconEquipment and seating comfort, as well as cleanliness in the passenger compartment
Cons
IconDisplays did not work
IconToilets were not clean
From Hanover to Munich, no change of train was necessary for me. The train had not been very busy and it had therefore been very quiet. The toilets had not been very clean. What I still have to criticise is that the displays did not work. However, as manual announcements were made, this had not been a problem for me. Everything else, such as the seating comfort and the furnishings, I found adequate. The train had been delayed in between, but was able to make up for it by the time I reached my destination, so that I arrived on time at Munich main station. So all in all, a very relaxed journey!
Pros
IconVery punctual
IconGood seating comfort
Cons
IconTrain was not very clean
IconPartly toilets were defective
The journey from Hanover to Munich was basically very pleasant, the seats were really great and we were not very late. However, unfortunately some toilets were defective, which is why you had to search for a working toilet in several carriages, and the train was unfortunately not very clean in some areas. All in all, it is of course very practical to travel by train and I would still repeat the trip.
Pros
IconDirect connection
IconWifi connection on the train
IconFamily compartments
Cons
IconDelays are often unavoidable
IconCleanliness of the WCs at the end of the journey
Travelling to Hanover in a family compartment with a baby is much more pleasant than by car. We had made a reservation and the car display on the platform meant that we were in the right place for our car and didn't have to search for it. In the family compartment, as elsewhere, there is wifi and power sockets everywhere. Due to the shielding from the rest of the train, it is also comparatively very quiet here. The service was good and the dining car for a coffee was only one carriage away. The cleanliness of the toilet was ok, but certainly needs improvement towards the end of the journey. As we had booked early, it was relaxed and also very good value to travel by train. We will definitely do it again.
Pros
IconSimplicity
Cons
IconTrain cancellations
It's very nice to be able to just sit down and enjoy the ride. I only had to change trains once for such a long distance. But that was absolutely no problem, because you had enough time to get to the next track. I was then able to stay on the second train until the terminus. All without any problems. Everything there is comfortable and clean. Although there are many delays and sometimes entire train cancellations, it is still good value for money.
Pros
IconCleanliness
IconPunctuality
IconGood staff
I waited for the train and it arrived on time. It smelled fresh on the train. The surfaces were clean, the seat I was sitting on was also clean, then I went to the toilet, which was also clean. The internet connection was uninterrupted. I felt very comfortable and safe during my journey. The staff did a good job and were also very helpful and communicative. I am happy to recommend this journey.
Pros
IconGood equipment
IconDelicious food
IconBeautiful surroundings
Cons
IconComparatively expensive price
IconLong journey
The journey from Hanover to Munich was pretty good overall. The facilities were very good as usual, and the food on the train also tasted very good. In addition, the view during the journey was very nice in Munich. The price was a bit expensive comparatively for this journey I think. Nevertheless recommendable.
Pros
IconVolume
Cons
IconPunctuality
Unfortunately, my last train wasn't on time. However, as I often travel by train, this is not a big problem for me. What I do rate as very positive, however, is that it was very quiet. As a result, I was able to relax for a few hours. I couldn't have imagined the wifi or the hygiene being any better. The price for the whole train ticket was very good.
Pros
IconPrice
IconComfort
IconPersonnel
Cons
IconDelay
IconReliability
The journey from Hanover to Munich was extremely pleasant, the two changes in Cologne and Frankfurt meant that the journey of almost 10 hours didn't take that long and all three ICE trains were impressive, both in terms of the facilities in the wagons, such as free wifi or a board bistro, and the very friendly staff. The only thing that didn't go perfectly were the delays in Cologne and Frankfurt, which delayed my arrival by around 40 minutes.
Pros
IconModern IC
IconNight train possible
IconInformation ideally communicated via TV
Cons
IconHygiene on the trains at night
IconOften no room as people sleep on 2 seats
IconReservation of seats not possible
It was a very pleasant night journey. It was quiet throughout the train, on the instructions of the staff. The doors were also switched off at times so that there was no unnecessary toing and froing. These IC night trains still have everything available in all areas and can therefore separate them.
Pros
IconFast connection with few stops
IconClean trains
IconFriendly staff
Cons
IconInternet not always functional
The train journey from Hanover to Munich by train is highly recommended. It's a bit quicker than travelling by car and you can work or play with the children very well on the way. Compared to the aeroplane, it is more sustainable and you don't have to be at the airport so long before departure. The toilets are clean and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately, wifi doesn't always work, so you can't always work without problems.
